Tried Chef Meg's substitute for high sodium Taco Seasoning Mix. Tastes just the same and has no sodium
3 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp red pepper flakes

Got all my teeth pulled for dentures, and I can't eat solid foods. Soups have so much sodium and chicken and beef broth have even more.
Does anyone know any homemade soup recipes that don't have pieces of stuff? so I can cut down my sodium?

Something as easy as oregano and basil
I just found an article called Enhance the Flavor of Your Food and it says Create your own spice shakers try making your own blends like a simple "Italian Blend" of basil and oregano. I wonder what quantities of each?
Any suggestions anyone?

I know to use whole wheat pasta and olive oil, but what herbs would you put in to make up the "Italian herbs and spices" that it boasts on the box?
(In case you couldn't tell, I am a HORRIBLE cook!)

This is a challenge to cut down on the amount of processed foods we eat. We all know about the high sodium count of most processed foods, so let's see if we can come up with more natural, home-cooked foods that we can substitute for our favorite processed foods.
