I know this is an old post, but I think it is a good one. Progress reports will help me stay on track.

Last night: not so good, I ate potato chips
today: very good, nothing unclean so far

I hope I keep this up.

thanks. O thought i was the only one but I will make it a goal to stop cheating and keep only clean eating I will take it ona day at a time.

Sure it is.
I don't drink Starbucks but I do enjoy a sweet treat now and then. I usually have somne kind of homemade dessert or cookie. Also, my idea of SWEET has changed. What I USED to call sweet is just simply UNBEARABLY sweet now. I like fruit.

well I started the clean eating again a week ago since I had my baby and the changes I made for my kids they eat the dinners I make from the clean eating diet. they have not complained yet. and my husband and I are very involved in the changes. except I have cheated 2 or 3 times with starbicks coffe and comething sweet woops. is this normal for when you start, had anyone goen through this?

Cool. I have been getting less raw this summer. Now that the kids are starting back to school and my busy summer schedule is winding down, I'm gonna try and do more RAW too.

My rawness is going very well Laura. I'm at 90%...I can't seem to give up my egg whites and wild salmon patties. eeeeek!

perfect timing for me! Today is Day 1 for me to "detox"....meaning it's time to eliminate sugar and all of the other simple carbs, while watching my fat intake. I've goofed around all year. Last week I finally told myself that Sept 7 would be THE DAY to get back to healthy, once again! I can do this! We can do this! thanks Laura!

sept
1 - clean
2 - clean
3 - 90% went to the movies and ate Twizzlers
4 - went swimming and ate ice cream so other stuff
5 - tomorrow is clean for sure

My goal is think before I eat for the next two months and to watch what I eat and reject overeating and sugar temptations. My reward will be to eat whatever I want the entire first week of November while I'm on holiday.

And also, my body fat has gone down A LOT this summer. I wasn't doing as bad as I thought. And I work hard in the home gym so I really shouldn't be feeling guilty about anything.

I've been taking some pointers/tips from a pro bodybuilder I connected with earlier this summer and I think I've figured out what my body needs in order to reach my goals.

I talk too much.

My toss pile is getting huge! I thought about taking some of it to work to offer to my coworkers that still eat this stuff, but after reading some of the labels I'm afraid I could get arrested for attempted murder - lol!

If they were mine I would toss them. They are also most likely really high in sodium. Those "quick" processed foods most likely also have a high glycemic load, which means that they also facilitate fat storage in our bodies really well. Not what I would want.
Good for you on going through the cupboards. Great to get rid of the artificial sweeteners!

Great timing - I posted this on another clean eating team and hope it is okay to post it here as well -

My plans for today include going through the pantry and looking for any unclean foods. What I can't decide is do I toss them, or just note them and make sure I don't buy that item again? Mostly stuff like SF FF Jello and Pudding, SF Popsicles, SF Cocoa mix, etc. - those I know aren't clean as they not only have artificial sweeteners, but also have artificial colors and other chemically things. But I also have quite a few of the 90 second brown rice pouches and some soups that are mostly nutritious, but have sugar listed in the ingredients. Would you go ahead and eat those even with the sugar? I'd love to get other's opinions on this.

OK. I've been SUCH a BAD girl this summer. The kiddies are starting school next week; schedules back to normal. Time to clean up our acts. (Mine especially)
So, for the month of September we will have a CLEAN eating challenge. I want to try to involve the whole family.
For my family, this means no more hot dogs or movie theatre popcorn.
For me, it means no more late night snacking; no more fatty carbs...

What can you do to get back into the "swing" of clean eating.
