We had to drive an hour to get to a health food store, but we did last week and got Quinoa, which we had never had before! I made Quinoa with Spinach and Feta Cheese from spark recipes! We loved it and will eat again! I am glad we bought 2 boxes of Quinoa and look forward to trying some other recipes!

Fluff as my family calls it can be modified... sometimes I add maple extract or vanilla & cinnamon in place of the lemon. I've also added pure pumpkin, vanilla & spices in place of the yogurt. It's an addictive dessert... well for me it is.

Bedtime is a good time to make it; yo also want to be careful not to bump or disturb the yogurt while it is "sitting" so night time is perfect. Making yogurt is easy. I have a new food dehydrater. Temperature controlled. I made yogurt yesterday; it took 5 hours. It turns itself off automatilly. My regular yogurt maker took 10 hours sometimes...
I would recommend you plan it so it can sit overnight with the towel on it while you sleep. I started mine in the morning and ended up having to stay up past my bedtime to get it done! I added splenda, vanilla and fresh blueberries to about 6 oz this morning. Let me know how it turns out for you!

I was going to try that this weekend. Thanks for posting Karen. I've never made yogurt before.

I made the homemade yogurt in my crockpot found in the daily sparks message from the other day! It turned out great! I have to be careful not to eat too much of a good thing!

Spelt & Coconut Cookies. These aren't low calorie, but they ARE clean. I used stevia (steviva blend) but if you wanted to use sucanat, rapiduro, turbinado or even brown sugar, just exchange the 1/4 cup steviva for 1/2 cup sugar of your choice. recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp? recipe=936908

Ok, I posted one of my family's favourite recipes. No one over here will eat tofu unless it's marinaded and lightly fried. Luckily this can be done at a pretty low temp. The veggies are just warmed. We're 'semi-vegan' since my daughter won't eat meat, eggs, fish or most dairy. Meat, when I do make it, is always an optional part of the meal. Most of the time we just skip it. Anyway, blah blah blah, here's the recipe! recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp? recipe=932940&ff=1

Mmm. I'll have to see if I can find a brown rice cereal. Thanks.

I used Nature's Path Crisp Rice cereal. Made from brown rice. Next time I make the recipe, I think I will try barley flakes. I got some at the health food store. Don't be afraid to try different ingredients. Use any kind of seeds or nuts, or dried fruits. I am also gonna try it with Brown Rice syrup instead of the maple syrup next time too.
I have been looking for a chewy granola bar recipe to make and eat while I am running (I have some long runs coming up). So I cleaned one up. I have tried to avoid any "specialty" products and am working to keep the calories reasonable.
Any advice would be great! Do you think I could replace some of the butter with peanut better and still have it stick together?

The challenge is to make ONE CLEAN recipe. You can make anything you wish.... a snack, side dish, an entree. Anything. Make the recipe and use the SPARK recipe caculator, then post the LINK here. That's it! Bon Appetit and keep it CLEAN!
