Thanks ANI. I actually like my whey protein. I just had a smoothie with Greek yogurt, coconut milk, banana and whey protein. I've just found out that I am most likely insulin resistant (pcos)and my diet consists of 170 grams of protein per day. So, I need a lot more protein than the norm. My protein powder is cold filtered and from grass fed cows with no hormones. Nothing else added. So, I'm ok with that.
I have often been uncomfortable using a refined powdered protein powder--just didn't seem like a real food to me. Maybe some of you are concerned too. Here's great ideas on how to raise the protein level in your own, homemade smoothies using real food. Naturally, the nutrition factor will go up too!
