Thanks ANI. I actually like my whey protein. I just had a smoothie with Greek yogurt, coconut milk, banana and whey protein.
I've just found out that I am most likely insulin resistant (pcos)and my diet consists of 170 grams of protein per day. So, I need a lot more protein than the norm.
My protein powder is cold filtered and from grass fed cows with no hormones. Nothing else added. So, I'm ok with that.

Thanks for sharing, I'm always looking for more ways to get protein in and I struggle to eat before training so they are useful but I feel the same, it just doesn't seem like real food to me either.
I made my own protein smoothie with 100g Greek yoghurt, 200ml milk and 80g mixed summer fruits, 16g protein per serving.

I have often been uncomfortable using a refined powdered protein powder--just didn't seem like a real food to me. Maybe some of you are concerned too. Here's great ideas on how to raise the protein level in your own, homemade smoothies using real food. Naturally, the nutrition factor will go up too!

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
