I recently joined this team, hoping to get more information & support in choosing healthy foods. After years of poor eating habits & ignoring the quality of the foods I ate, I'm basically starting over. My plan at this point is to prepare most of what I eat, and avoid buying processed foods. Any other suggestions?

I JUST JOIN THIS TEAM I AM IN SPARKPEOPLE FOR 2 YEARS LOST 23 LBS. MY GOAL IS TO WEIGH 115 TO 120 LBS. THE LAST FEW ARE DIFFICULT BUT I WILL CONTINEW TO TRY.. I started a month ago , but I didn't go nowhere. Why? I am finding everything I do tiresome and very difficult. I am trying to continue and get somewhere with my fight for a better life. My health has been going down in the last 5 years. I am 73 and recently I am experiencing quite a bit of pain with this injury of a sciatic nerve. My way of getting natural unprocessed foods into my diet is to make green drinks with my Vitamix. I also like to cook one or two large recipes over the weekend. That way it's easy to eat fresh during the work week. This week was Vegan Chili and Tomato Eggplant Soup.
