Bonus Challenge for Day 6 (optional) is to limit your caffeine intake today. Turn to natural energy boosters instead. Too much caffeine can leave you irritated and jittery. After the "buzz" wears off, you could end up feeling more tired than before. Instead of reaching for a cup of coffee or a sugary, calorie-laden soda mid-afternoon, try taking a short walk, doing a crossword puzzle or breathing deeply for a couple of minutes. Eat slow-digesting protein and whole grains at lunch to help prevent afternoon drowsiness, and avoid overloading on simple carbs mid-day.
