VXWALL, I have to laugh and cry with you at the same time. I have the same problems. Chronic Bronchitis and asthma, just started with a nebulizer on top of two inhalers and a nasal inhaler, allergy pills + my cpap machine. I also take a pill to control muscle movement and seizures, one for headaches and seizures, a stomach pill for gerd, my happy pill and a cholesterol pill. All first thing in the morning then take and repeat all the pills again at night. nebulizer is 4 times daily, inhaler 1 is 4 x daily, inhaler 2-1 x daily. Lucky me.. But, I do the best I can to get out and do some walking even though it is hard. I'm not going to let it stop me. My right leg is really bad and I have to walk with a cane. I did manage to get up to 6 miles it takes me a little over two hours to do it, but I do it. That was my goal and I made it. I do have to back down a bit, my leg is swelling and the foot on the right, and now I've gotten a big blister on the ball of the left foot. The toes still curl under on my right foot when I walk, so the doctor wants me to cut back some. She thinks I pushed myself to hard, by walking everyday, instead of 3 to maybe 4 times a week. So just talk to your doctor and see what type of exercise that he or she recommends for you. And how many calories he/she recommends also. If you have a laptop I recommend you take that with you and show the doctor the spark people recommended diet for you. That is what I did. Do mention it, when you make your appointment, that you'll need time to talk to the doctor when you come in, a little more time than usual. I hope this helps.

Shortly after I made this commitment, I went to the dr for SOB and, low and behold, I came out with a diagnosis of COPD and on steroids. I'm one who reacts to steroids with a voracious hunger that can't be assuaged. Additionally, I was found to have extensive muscle damage from who knows what and it is nigh on impossible to exercise, soooooo...
My new and more possible challenge to self is:
1. .Eat 'white' or refined carbs no more than 2 days a week (breads, rice, pasta, potatoes)

Time will pass whether we do something during that time or not... so why not DO something about it together? :-) it is a brief challenge so we can do this!
