Strength Training is very important when we are losing weight. When one puts weight on and doesn’t lead an active life the muscles in the body start to break down – as you lose weight you need to rebuild those muscles. Also as the body fat goes, the muscles are what shapes the body, so in order to look good one needs to build and tone the muscles.
It is recommended that one only strength trains every second day and only 3 times a week.
Strength training will not give you big muscles – to get those big muscles that the weight lifters etc have one needs to take special steroids
It should be noted that Strength training doesn’t burn calories that you can record on your exercise tracker, though you can record your exercises, however the stronger your muscles, the harder they will work and they then burn the calories during aerobic exercise.
Your body will also become more toned and firmer and your posture will improve.
