Today is my day one. My last one was yesterday evening after working out at the gym.

I've tried before but I'm really focused on doing it this time.

So I was going to stop smoking at 199lbs but I ran out of cigarettes this morning, well last night before bed, and I am at 201lbs. I have been debating on whether or not to go to ht e store and buy some and keep my goal at quitting when I reach the 100's. That would probably be Friday at my weekly weigh in. I decided to blog about it this morning instead of going to the store. I have had some really nice spark people comment on it and give me great support. I just wanted to say thank you to spark because with spark held I can loose the weight and quit smoking.

Apparently, the Lord sent me back here today for you. I'll be trying to be online more often, and being right here for you too, my dear!

You will do this. Even if you falter, you will try it again, and again until you have completely succeeded. We'll be right here to cheer you on, and to still love you if you slip up. This is not always black and white, and I do believe that the "fake it till you make it" apply to some of us. I made it 6 days without cigarettes a few weeks ago, and gave up, gave in, and now once again have to focus on starting to stop. Six days, and I started crying uncontrollably. After discussing this with others who have quit, and my doctor, I have discovered that if I had pushed through that episode, I may have succeeded. I did not, so I will begin again. You, however, will succeed sooner, and I'll be right behind you.

Blessings!

Oh thank you! It's hard. Seems like there's always an excuse why "this is a bad day" or "this is a bad week" to quit smoking. I hope and pray I can do this.

My prayers are with you too. You CAN ignore those coffin nails, and succeed in leaving them behind you with other bad habits. I believe in YOU, no matter how many Day Ones are involved. Don't ever give up trying.

This is it. Day one. I've had many day "ones"...but I sneak a cigarette from my son after work, or just before bed, or when I get up with my morning coffee. Albeit, over the past week I've gone from a pack a day to 2 or 3 cigarettes a day. And in doing that, I'm finding I don't really like the taste at all. I don't even know why I feel the "need" to smoke. It makes me tired, and in these hot summer days, even a little light headed. I DO NOT NEED IT!

So back to Day One. This is going to be my day one. I hope when I return tomorrow, it will be my day two. I really believe if I can make it to day 7 smoke free, I'm home free. Wish me luck, and I wish you all good health.
