Salad is my number one all time lunch option! so many different combinations and huge volume for your calorie count as long as you watch out for the dressing, 'toppings' add ons....LOL.
Kraft has the 'to go individual dressings' that are easy to keep in my pocketbook or even a pocket if I'm not wanting to carry much with me.
At home and a buffet 'anything fresh, colorful and crunchy gets top billing...then portion controled protein in the form of nuts, meat and/or cheese.
I love feta cheese because a few crumbles packs a lot of flavor!
Another trick my daughter and I use is to order salads with dressing on the side (ALWAYS) then dip the tines of our forks in the dressing...we can finish a huge platter of salad and use less than a tablespoon of dressing this way!
salads are also a great way to get those fruits and veggies in!!!
I'm glad garden season is here and fresh veggies are becoming abundant again...whooo hoooo here's to a Slimming Summer!!
