Please let me know how things are going for the rest of you. I'm having some weird stuff happen. I lost 2 inches around my waist!!!!! but I haven't lost any weight.

Still I really credit the body flex work (which admittedly I haven't done every single day) for the size loss.

This is going to take time and I need to be at peace with that. Please give me some encouragement to keep going. Thank you so much. Rosealie

I personally prefer to do Oxycise! but I know that LEESHA17 is getting started again and looking for some friends to keep her motivated so you should check out her page or send her a SparkMail. You can visit her page by scrolling down to her post on this thread and click on 'my sparkpage'. We have others who like BodyFlex as well. So, just jump in... we'll be glad to cheer you on!

Hi, everyone.

I'm new to BodyFlex and to Spark. I just read Greer's "Be a Loser!" book, and I have printed the pages out to begin the BodyFlex program, starting in the morning. I don't have access to the recipes she promotes in her video program package or the added "bar", but I do plan on doing some healthier recipes. How many of you are still "on the wagon" with BodyFlex?

Last week I picked up Body Flex again, just the 18 min workout first thing in the morning (before the rest of my workouts).
I think I've done it about 5 times and I can feel parts of my body are so much tighter! especially my hips it is awesome.
I don't measure myself regularly so I don't know about the inch loss, but I can just feel the difference and it is awesome.

Maybe that is a little high. I prefer Oxycise! which burns more than riding a stationary bike. So, I just count the minutes for a moderate intensity stationary bike for the amount of time that I do oxycise. That way I come in under and not over the caloric amount so I don't eat too much. Maybe that would work for you too. Use your best judgment. emoticon

That's really, really great by the way to have lost 4"!!! Isn't it amazing what deep breathing can do for us!?! Keep up the good work!

Hi...I'm new to this team. I've been doing Body Flex 1x/day for a week now and I've lost 4". I've been trying to find how many calories are burned for the 15 min workout. In Greer's book "Be a looser" it say's..."It gets you aerobic 5x faster than running-if you ran for an hour, you would burn 700 calories; if you did Jazzercise for an hour, you would burn 250 calories; if you did BodyFlex for an hour, you would burn 3,500 calories." So I divided that number by 4 and came up with 875 calories burned in 15 mins. But I don't know if I believe that. But 143 calories seems way too low for burning 4" off in one week. All I'm doing is BodyFlex everyday and weights circut Mon, Wed, Fri.
What do you think?

That's great DMATT35! Moving is good but taking in more oxygen is great! We're glad to have you. Please record your exercise minutes under the topic "Exercise Minutes for October". That way we can keep motivating each other.

Hi ladies! I apologise for being absent from the message boards; I am working 6 days this week for vacation coverage of a co-worker. Just to let you know, I've been pretty diligent with the BF w/o (and all other exercises); I'm squeezing it in here & there when possible (even when driving LOL).

Hey thanks for gettin back to me
ok yeah that makes sense that the calories are about the same as aerobics.
I just started the workouts again too and I remember that a few months ago I tried the workouts and couldn't hold my breath as long as she does, but now I can and it makes the workout better if I am right in sync with her.
I'm really excited to see results, it's all about consistency
I'm happy you're doing body flex too so we can chat about it :)

This exercise has you into an aerobic state within about 30 seconds without running or jumping around. I couldn't find a direct answer to the calorie-burn during BF, but being that it's equated to "aerobics", I divided the calories burned (286) of a high-impact 30-min. workout by 2 and came up with 143. Being that I haven't done this in a while, I'm starting out slow by doing BF once a day for this week. Mornings work best for me, so when I increase to 2X a day, I will do one session before breakfast (after everyone leaves of course LOL), then again before leaving for work. I hope this information helps. Keep me posted! Let me know how you're doing!
Chris

Haha yeah me too I gotta be the only one in the room otherwise I don't do my best with the breathing.

K I have a question for ya, how many calories are burned during the 18 minute workout?
and we are supposed to do it twice a day to see results right?

I don't know about you, but I always wait til everyone leaves the house before doing this exercise LOL. It does sound like you're gasping for your last breath, but it does work.
