I loved the Brownie Quest Journey...there are session suggestions in the back of the leaders book...which we followed step-by step and it was amazingly easy.
We completed it in 6 weeks (though if you select a community service project that will take a couple weeks to complete it will take longer) and then the 7th week we had a celebration with other activites that worked toward try-it badges. My girls made fleece blankets for the local woman's shelter.
My troop is Juniors and are learning about Power of One, Power of Team & Power of Community. It has been interesting how the girls have interpeted things. I am also still 'on the fence' about the books, but it does offer some different ways to look at activities. We are also still using the traditional badge books at our meetings.

Don't make it harder then it is. I have been a leader for 10 years. I was used to books that say do this and do this. These books don't say that. That's hard for me. The good news is that you have a lot more options. You can do lots of things that go along the lines of the books. We're doing a senior one and it's about a perfect girl world and has art as one of the projects. So were doing art stuff and collecting stuff for a women's shelter. My daughter read a book about women's issues. So you have lots more options. You can make it as hard or as easy as you want to.
I'm still very much on the fence about the journeys, but it leaves more options for activities.
If you got a traffic ticket would you break every traffic law the rest of the day? Then why toss the whole day over a slice of pizza? ~Indygirl
