It's been a week now, back on the wagon. Some days have been easier than others, per usual, but considering we have company all weekend I am VERY happy with myself. I've started each day with 20 minutes of yoga. Cardio and ST are missing currently, but I'll get there. DH is back after being gone most of the month so I'll be able to settle back into a 2 parent house that should help.

It's time for this to stick for a LONG time! I really want to see 140. It's been 10 yrs since I've been anywhere near 140. Bring it on!!

Hope to hear from you soon. I hope you're finding time for yourself, your family and making good choices :-)

Today is Day 3 of being back on the wagon! I've done well so far. I did go over my calories on Day 1 and maybe yesterday, with a last minute evening snack, but I wasn't out of control which is my main objective for this week. Putting in the work and staying in control with my choices. All day yesterday I had to keep reminding myself that I was not going to eat whatever snack popped into my head. I was successul! YEAH! I've done 20 minutes of yoga each morning as soon as I got out of bed. No soda since Tuesday and so far no headache, but I did make sure to take ibuprofen all day yesterday! So far so good. I know this trip on the wagon won't stay, and i will fall off at some point in the future, but as long as it's the distant future and I don't fall off for longer than a few days!!

Right now I'm staying focused and gathering my energies to really start making changes to my body. I have at least 20 more pounds to lose. I REALLY want to see 140 (in 10) and below!!

I hope you are all making good choices, putting in the work, or at least doing your best at the moment! Keep sparking!!

Hi Ladies! Today is a new day and I plan on making it a fresh start. I even started my day with 20 minutes of yoga. This means today is emoticon for 100 days of yoga. I've been so far off track with everything. Today ENDS that. Today I get back on track. Start fresh. Go through the struggles of changing my habits from unhealthy to healthy. And let this day 1 of 100 days of yoga be day 1 of a 500 day exercise streak! At least 10 minutes a day of SOMETHING.

Sorry you ladies have been under the weather. I've got the potential for a chest cold but so far it seems to be staying away. Just a little coughing and mild congestion. Some seasonal allergies going on too. But that part is ok, that means spring is on the way :-)

I have exercised even while sick. During the least year+ I had had a streak going and lucking never got a stomach bug which would have been the thing to derail me. Any other illness I had was such that I could still at least do some stretching or get on the elliptical for 10 easy minutes. Just enough to do more than nothing. I have found for me this is VERY important. I broke my streak and have not been consistent hence the need to start a new streak!

My mom is coming today for a week long visit which is energizing me right now! I'll have more free time to be able to focus on healthy eating and exercise for a really good start to getting back on track. That's the plan anyway. This weekend my DH comes home after being gone since the beginning of the month. Wish I could have done awesome while he was go so that he could have seen positive change, but even getting back to the basics will be that. He's been so supportive and trying to get me sparking again. Love him and really miss him right now!

Got some last minute cleaning to do or I'd probably type all day! Stay well ladies. Hope to hear from you soon!! I'll need all the encouragement I can get!

Glad you are feelong better goddess! It is definitely difficult when you are sick. I try and walk...even when I'm sick if I can, but it's just not always possible. I had a run in with food poisoning Sunday night and, of course, it doesn't just go away. So yesterday, even though I didn't want to, i took the day off. There is just no way I could have exercised. Today i still feel woozy, but well enough for a walk so thats what I did. It was tough, but I'm through it now and I feel better because of it. I hope things get better for you quickly. I know how difficult it can be to begin, no matter where you are beginning from :)

Trying to get back on track after "life getting in the way". Had a bout with the flu and took awhile before feeling like myself again - but hoping to get back on track, even if slowly. Does anyone exercise when they are sick?

Today is a rest day from Coach Nicole's DVD plan but I didn't get much rest digging out a snow fort for my girls! We finally got a decent snowfall in MN! Later we'll get some sledding done. More cardio trudging back up the hill! At least it isn't super steep.

I'm doing something right with emoticon because my legs are slightly sore this morning! That's one reason why I went outside in the snow too, to stay loose. It was a low stress morning. Hopefully the rest of the day will go as well.

My food choices are still awful. I know, right?! Enough already, just put in the work and make the good choices. JUST SAY NO!! Workin' on it.

I hope everything is going well and life is't making the journey too tough. We can do this.

Well another weekend down and this one wasn't any better food wise, though it was a party weekend :-) We had a very successful birthday party for my girls. The punch is what put me over, it was super yummy! Same with the cake. I'm out of the habit of saying "No" and going for smaller portions. Its my intention to start getting back into those habits very soon! I have been tracking my food again, which is so useful! I can see that I'm not totally off track except for the times I KNOW I am blowing my totals, such as evening snacking. Now if i can get a handle on my stress and my mental 'need' I'll be in good shape!

I hope you had a good weekend.

Hi Stephanie - it sounded like you had a great weekend, I'm so glad. It's great that you have in-laws who are understand that you need to get a workout in. To be able to read a book in less than 2 days - that's a wonderful gift to yourself. As far as the fastfood - I love your attitude "Life goes on" and it's true - it's not like getting graded at the end of the semester -everyday is the beginning of the rest of our lives.

We had a pretty relaxing weekend too, but admittedly, I did have "stress" as I slacked on tracking with "on the fly" recipe mischief as I had company over. I did however make lemon cake with applesauce and whipped the frosting to get as much volume as possible (and thus, use less) - that was received well. Thanks again for your kind comments - 2 years into the future, I hope to be looking back and know I'm in a better place. As far as support IRL, I'm okay with going at this on my own (so far) as I'm beginning to look forward to the me-time. However, if the hubby ever pokes fun about my body or failures - I've planned on saying, "Well laugh now, you'll cry later when you can't reap the benefits." Haha, he's not the type to do that, but just in case... As for mom, the more I thought about it, I think that she may have felt insulted because bringing my own food was akin to saying "I don't like your cooking" and as for a stretch "You cook fattening foods." I hope that the rest of the week goes well for us all!

Hi Venise - Glad that you are enjoying your vacation, and what a great example of how you still manage to keep the routine of exercising, even while on holiday. Hope the rest of your vacation goes well. Australia sounds wonderful, never been, but keep us filled in!

So happy to hear you had a good weekend. I'm having a great time on vacation myself. I've waited several years for this dream vacation & I'm loving it!!! The food is delicious & hoping I make good choices & not overindulging too much. I got an hour of walking on the treadmill this morning while reading a great book. Hope to get some more exercise in later on our tour of Australia.

Hi Crystal -

Thanks for the goodie. I did have a good weekend and didn't go over the top with my lack of restraint. Did I do super on food choices, of course not! On saturday alone we had McDonald's for lunch AND dinner! And no salad for me this time. SO too much soda and fries but life does go on. On Sunday I didn't over eat and didn't snack and snack all day. In fact the only snacking I did was some chips and salsa with a soda, but not an unreasonable amount.

I DID travel with my DVD and did my workout on Sunday morning! I love that I can workout at my in-laws. It was a nice relaxing weekend. I had an ebook on hold at the library and it became available on Saturday right after we arrived. I had the luxury of reading it most of the day Sunday and finished it up first thing this morning. The girls were happy with lots of ice pops, the treat of choice at grandmas. The girls also go to see their cousins on Saturday, a first since about Oct. That was super nice.

I hope your weekend was a good one. I'm happy to hear you shared with your family about your weight loss. As I said in your blog, just keep the conversation going with him. He may not know how important it is to you or what kind of support you want/need. YOU may not know these things yet!

Getting up in the morning before everyone wakes - it's a good idea, but I've had such a hard time finding the will power to do it. I know what you mean about trying to squeeze in a workout while your little one sleeps - it's happened where my little guys interrupt, but I'm learning little by little - that even though I only get in some activity - it's better than none!

I totally get how hard it is to resist temptations when visiting relatives. Yesterday I visited my mom and packed some leftovers from the Sparkrecipe I made. My mom kept asking if I wanted to eat this or that, and when I told her I brought my own food because I was dieting, she laughed, oh well.

I think Friday's are stressful with the anticipation of making good on a weekend. Hope the rest of your day gets better and you have a wonderful weekend :)

Today was a stressful day for some unknown reason. I was able to keep a hold of my temper at least and I haven't had a horrendous food day. No cravings at least. I did get my exercise in though I didn't get up first thing to do it. Exercising before my 2yr old gets up is going to be something new since she's recently in a toddler bed. She is used to getting up and finding me in my room but if she doesn't find me there I guess she'll look for me. Or at least I'll hear her and can always stop. I just have to try it.

We're making an un expected trip to Grandma's and I have a tendency to do awful at Grandma's. I know I can do well, I just need to work at it. Anyway, here's hoping for a good weekend!
