At work. My office is on a big, pleasant campus with lots of wooded areas.

Mostly in a Corps of Engineer park 15 miles away called the Bona Dea...it has a 3.5 mile loop, a 2.5 mile loop, a 1.5 mile loop, and a 1-mile loop. What a great place!

I walk to the grocery store that is near my apartment and I walk up the hill to London Drugs which is about 10 blocks away from my place or I do my walking in the malls when it gets to hot to walk outside.

My last walk/run was around Troy park (near home)...
I ran 3 miles across the Carlyle Dam - that was fun!!

I walk around the university where I work. It is a beautiful campus. Now that we are getting so hot here (mid-high 90's), I try to get most of my walking in before noon.

When it gets warmer, I set my alarm and walk very early or wait until after dark. I have a reflective vest, headlamp, and the dog has a reflective collar and leash. It usually is light in the morning but 70 is much more pleasant than 100 and I'm OK walking early for that.
I also have walking videos for when it is truly too hot to get outside or I don't have time at the right time of day. It gets better.
My goal this summer is to walk to each child's home (I have three living within 5 miles of me) and back before the end of the summer. It was my goal last year but I didn't watch my food and aggravated my arthritis. I'm in better control this summer, so I should do better.

I walk in my neighborhood. Sometimes I walk to the Dollar store or grocery store. I try to change it up each day. I try not to walk the same route everyday so that I don't get bored. I trying to work my way up to five miles a day by the end of the summer. That's if I can survive the heat.

Up until now, almost all of my walking was while I was at work teaching 6th grade. I started parking further from the door at school which helped a little. The weekends were my are my low points because I spent so much time at the computer writing lesson plans and searching for fun ways to present the material to the kids. I haven't found a way to walk while grading papers yet so that's a big chunk of time too. I'm off for the summer starting Wednesday and I'm looking forward to having time to walk for the sake of walking.

I make sure to park far out in parking lots when I have to run errands to get extra steps in. I have no issues walking around my house, yard and garden. Most mornings I walk my road in circuits laps by myself or with the dogs and family. I am hoping to get a local SP walking group going in the evening at the Jacksonville Commons area which has 2 walking/biking paths that complete a 5k loop. I also have enjoyed going down to a local park to walk the gravel travel.

I do a walking game for the wii called walk It out plus i walk a lot where i work. Then if that is not enough for me It the weather is cool I walk outside. I love to walk.I also go to a church right down the road from me when the heat is not bad. they have a great outdoor track that is 1 1/2 miles and it is up and down hills. So it is a really good work out. I will also go the the flea market or the farmers market to walk around. That is just some of the places I like walking. hugs to all.

With the heat here in Tucson right now, walking outdoors is not happening. My last great walk was at the Grand Canyon! Can't hike up the mountains due to heat and fire danger being HIGH. SO, have been MALL walking, or the gym

I normally walk in my neighborhood. I have walks for 1/2, 1, 2, etc to 6 mile walks figured out in town. There are several walking trails nearby on old rail trails or nature trails. There are also mountain trails within a mile or so from my house. No lack of places to go.

I walk at lunchtime - rather than jumping in the car and grabbing a quick bite from work...I walk to a 'strip mall' within 1 mile from my office, grab a bite there and walk back to the office. I can usually log at least 7000 steps before I get home each day that way - plus doing the usual walking around the building to meetings etc all day. Then in the evenings I either log some time at the gym on the treadmill (if there is time between classes) or I take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood.
I also walk at the beach (Pacific Ocean) every few weeks at least - it's just a few miles from my home. Sometimes I walk to the beach and back from my house...
Love my walking! Definitely part of my lifestyle now!

I think it would be interesting to find out where people go to walk. I walk the section around my house, I live in the country. Or I go to the Rail Trail In St. Charles, MI
