I'm in a horrible workout rut right now. I will probably need to start with two or three warms poses or something with the hope that I will build up some interest.

That's cool. But, for what it's worth in my too-time-crunched-for-much-exercise lifestyle, as well. I don't knock how a little pilates in my yoga goes a long way ...

I will have to add this to my list of things to try. I'm going through a spiritual growth/metaphysical stage so this will work right into all of that.

What makes this a Having Fun workout, is that when you are doing it alone at home, there are no rules. I had gotten my yogilates instruction from Jonathan Urla via DVD (and I mention him always), advancing through his levels ...

Plus, no equipment/pilates machines are necessary in an at-home environment. Pilates (thicker) mat is desirable, and a yoga block, possibly a yoga strap, and a blanket may be necessary for some of the exercises.

This sounds interesting. I have not done enough yoga in my life to do my own routine and I only did pilates for a little over a month. Eventually I would like to learn in a small class environment so that a little more focus is on me so that I can advance in the poses.

I have put together a lengthy yoga routine that I do - to music - which had been influenced by classes, books, DVDs, and flash cards

The yoga pose Utthita Prasarita Padasana is actually a double leg lift straight out of pilates,

and in Boat Pose, I do an advanced yogic breathing technique ... it is just a little tougher (and quite similar to) the Pilates Hundred ...

Keeping up moves similar to pilates for quite a large portion of my yoga routine ...
