Didn't get to the biggest loser yet but maybe after dinner. Did the wii fit plus for 20 minutes, 10 of it was a run which really wore me out, lol.

I have had the wii fit for a year and a half, though for the past 6 months it was collecting dust. I did get lots of new games for it for Christmas and have been on it every day. I love the Wii fit plus and wii sports resort is a lot of fun as well. I do have biggest loser and EA sports and Golds gym to try out still. Biggest Loser I think I will start tomorrow. I still do the treadmill for 30 minutes as well.

I am having some challenges finding a comparison/review of the different fitness games for the wii. Does anyone know any web sites off hand that would help? This is all new to me so it is hard to know where to even look. When I read the descriptions and some of the activities, there seems to be a lot of similarities and overlap.

30 min on wii fit compared to 30 min on the treadmill or lifting are not equal. however, i do like the body scan on wii fit, and how they show the levels of your bmi, and the guilt I feel on the days I don't play a few min of wii fit. But if you don't have a gym membership, buy that instead of a wii and wii fit. at least that my opinion.

Wii Fit Plus has activities that were not available in the original. There are more activities that don't need to be unlocked. Also, it allows you to weigh your children or pets, if you desire to do so. I have Plus and the balance board and really enjoy them.

Have you found the cardio fitness listings for baseball game, bowling, boxing, golf and tennis?

O girl, you have to get the Wii! Yeah, I know teeth are important too...get the teeth first, then the Wii? But, what I really want to know is how you put that rainbow on your page? Way cool!
I used to be in the food biz, segued to teaching by way of Home Ec, then moved on to English and now Special Ed...but I am always interested in the world of food. Maybe that's what got me in this shape in the first place? I look to Wii and Sparkpeople to motivate me to health again!

Ditto on the We Cheer its great, especially nice to play with the kids. My kids also love the Wii Fit we just got the new one and they enjoy the new thing that you can weigh your pet and they run along side you in the bicycle game. Yesterday I played it by myself for around 120 of Wii Fit points! emoticon

Lose that "hopefully" and just do it. Consider cleaning out the area as the start of your exercise and go from there. emoticon

I have the Wii fit, now I must set it up and start using it. Hopefully tomorrow I will clean out the back room in the basement so I will have some room to exercise.
Happy new year!!!

Just got the Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board for Christmas. I enjoy it! You can do so many exercises and have fun while doing it. It keeps up with your activity and give you tips. You can set up your own routine or just play. The whole family is enjoying this. Getting the Wii was a good idea (MY IDEA)!

We just got the Wii for our holiday present to ourselves, and so far, I really like the exercise dvds. We started with bowling for fun, but now we are doing the 30 day challenge EA Active, and I can feel how it is affecting my leg muscles. It's not hard, but not easy either. And although I hate exercise per se, I don't feel too silly in my own living room. It's funny how the virtual coach really can motivate you! I only started 2 days ago, but 2 days is better than zero! I used to do Curves, but it was too hard to get to after work, and so I eventually dropped it, wasting all that money. With the Wii, we have it for exercise and for fun, and most of theactive games, like golf and tennis and bowling, require some motion of your body, so it is exercise. I LOVE Wii!

I got wii fit last year and felt that the ecercises were not challenging and did not feel like I got a workout at all from it. I just recently got The Biggest loser Wii game and I love it! The workouts are challenging and fun. If you do not own this game you need to try it.

Following triple bypass surgery 9/11/09, my insurance did not cover rehab. We paid for a month, so I could be monitored as I rejoined the world of motion, but the rehab center was 45 minutes away for a 45 minute exercise session...twice the driving time as the work-out. Plus, doing this 3 times a week the cost of gas for a month doubled the cost of the membership. So I discontinued after a month and we bought the Wii with Wii Fit Plus and Balance Board.

I have gone from being very inactive to averaging nearly 30 minutes per day for the past 57 days! And I'm loving it! I know that these exercises aren't as strenuous as some, but considering that I rarely did ANY exercises prior to surgery, this feels right.

I've joined the SparkPeople Boot Camp team and next week I will see how I fare with the recommended exercises. Post-surgery, the doctors have all been very pleased with my progress and haven't put any restrictions on my activities beyond what I feel capable of doing. I have no damage to my heart, so that has made recovery easier.

Also, I bought emoticon and will be jump-starting my Spark efforts.
