For my resistance training I have used both Cathe and P90x. I ordered the resistance band set from beachbody.com and love it!

Best strength training dvds I have used -

1. Cathe Drill Max
2. Cathe Muscle Max
3. P90X series
4. Cathe STS

will renew their strength.

they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

You'll see from an earlier post that I didn't think the workout with the resistance bands was real strenuous. Well, the next day I could really tell I had worked out a different set of muscles. I was glad for the change up from my normal routine, and I will continue to use Coach Nicole's workout; I'll try for 2x per week.

I just watched a 20 minute video of Coach Nicole working with resistance bands on a chair. It seemed fairly straightforward and will probably take about 10 - 15 minutes to do. I like these because I will probably be able do them when I take a break at work. This video is under "Healthy Lifestyles- Fitness". They also offer a printout of the routine so you can take it with you.

I ordered the Spark starter kit with the stability ball, resistance bands, pedometer and Nicole's DVD for stability ball/resistance bands. I did the workout tonight and it was not real challenging, but tough enough to make me feel I worked out. You can adjust the band grip to get a higher intensity workout. How do I track the resistance band training from her DVD on my fitness tracker?

I use the Total Trainer, which is a less expensive version of the Total Gym that Chuck Norris advertises on tv. It makes me feel like a kid playing on a teeter totter. I look forward to my workouts.

The Firm also has some great strength training DVDs. You can buy free weights or even use water bottles, canned food, etc. as weights.

For strength training at home I use Leslie Sansone's DVD, using the stretchy band. I love it.

I am doing the " 12 second sequence" dvd for my strength training. I don't have time for a long workout, and I find this one very effective.

on this site it is more often called strength training......just look under fitness and it gives you LOTS of very reasonable options, complete with demonstrations. Things included are exercises including stretchy bands, exercise balls, weights ( you do NOT have to have anything fancy....you can start with water bottles or even soup cans!) and just plain sit ups, various types of crunches.....all of these can be done at home without big investments!

Okay team I really need your help with this one. I have heard so many times that you need to combine resistance training with cardio and whole weight loss plan to be more effective at lossing weight. I want to know what are some basic resistance training I can do at home. I honestly do not have the time to join a gym and it has never worked for me. I hate the trainers roaming around trying to get you to join their personal sessions. I loss money with gym memberships. So my question is what are some resistance activities I can do in my home or around my home. I know it is probably listed somewhere on this cite, but I am new to Sparks and still trying to find my way around the cite.

Thank you all in advance for your comments. emoticon
