I have a back injury and I am able to do the bikes just fine. The only thing that I can not do is go to fast. The speed causes my back to move just enough to really hurt. But I am also looking for things to do that will not hurt my back. I can not do ANY twisting. But try the bike.

That's touchy. You want to really be careful with your back as not to aggravate it and make it worse. The only thing I can think about is a nice long walk or something else where you can keep your back braced or stable.

So today is my weekly yoga class, but yesterday I tweaked my lower back lifting my child out of the car over a slushy snow bank. Don't think I'll keep pace in class this morning, so I'm going for a swim ... any other ideas for exercise?
