I have a new pair of sandals arriving in the mail this week. I love my mary janes's by MBT.

I tried them on just last week. While they did feel good I decided to go with the NewBalance walking shoe. I have Planters Fasciitis and I felt the pull on my already sore feet/heel.

I bought the MBTs. They really have quite a selection, and I would like to buy another style. They took some getting used to but I like them and think they are beneficial. I wear them as often as possible.

I have a pair and love them. They are pricey especially since I only wear them for walking. Well worth the price I think.
I had another pair by Curves from Avon for about $40; same concept but not as much of a rock.

I can't wait to get a pair of the Skechers Shape ups. I tried them on and I swear it felt like walking on clouds. At 110 per pair I find this quite reasonble. I bargain shop for my clothes, food, jewelry... but I never skimp on shoes.

I look forward to getting these shoes.

I decided against the shape-up and any of the other toning shoes that had the "rocker" bottom, they are pricey and would only be good for everyday walking. Personally, I need a shoe that is going to do more than one thing, and NOT spend over $100 on it. I started to do some research, found some alternative, read reviews, and decided to try the Champion brand now at Payless. I use them on the treadmill for walking and running, and I use them as my everyday shoe. They have helped my back and sciatica a great deal as well as improving my posture.

I have only had them about 2 weeks now, but I can feel small differences. For me it was well worth the $30 price tag and I plan to purchase a back up pair as well as the sandals.

I did a review, which you can read here:

I like my New Balance shoes. They work well for me and I do not want to spend a lot of extra money for another pair of tennis shoes.

I love my New Balance but one of the instructors at my gym loves the Reebok toning sneakers. She doesn't wear them for class but more for walking and everyday wear. She seems to really like them. They are kind of pricey right now though.

I don't know about the Skechers, but I might check them out. I have had a couple pair of them in the past. They were comfortable for me, but some of my friends can't wear them.

I can do all things thru God who strenthens me. My weight goal is to lose about 30 pounds. Right now I am at 150, so 115 or 120 would be great.

I don't have a pair yet but will probably try them for just walking and doing my regular chores on weekends and after work. I will use my regular Easy Spirit shoes for fitness classes.

I am going to stick with my New Balance, they are comfortable and already paid for. So I won't have to spend more money on another pair of tennies. I am still interested in Curves sandals for this summer. Not to work out in but to just wear. And maybe exercise my lower body. Thanks so much for the comments. emoticon

Has anyone tried the Curves sandals and tennis shoes? They are supposed to build up your muscles.

Are we talking about the reebok easy tones? I found a great green and silver pair that I want so bad (when they come back in stock...). I'm not fond of the Skechers fitness shoes though.

I have the reeboks and I would not recommend them for an aerobic workout. They are a great walking/everyday wearing shoe. They are very comfortable, but you can feel your legs working a little harder to compensate for the soles of the shoe. I did try to do my tae bo in them once, and it was interesting to try to keep my balance while standing on one leg, but I could see it being pretty easy to twist an ankle. Good luck, I hope you find a shoe that works for your needs. I wear New Balance shoes for my normal exercise needs and have found them to be exceptional all around use tennis shoes.

I'm no expert on shoes, and you probably already have your answer by now. But, ask the sales associate. They are upoosed to know which shoes are good for aerobics, which are good for uunning, cross training, etc.

Let me know what you foundout. I always have trouble with shoes and my feet are very sensitive and break out. (I am allergic to heat/pressure)

My personal favorite are the Nike shoes made in the 80s. Can't find them...sighs.

I am debating getting either the Sketchers or Reebok shoes which are supposed to help with toning and losing weight. I would want to use them for my regular workout wich includes lunges, jumping, running, and walking (EA Sports Active for the Wii) but I'm not sure if they are appropriate for these activities? Anyone have any input?
Thanks!

well i am a little confused about the original question. the Topic was "can you wear these shoes", then the first comment was about exercise. Is it supposed to be about shoes or what?

I prefer to exercise barefoot if given a choice. but i am confused as to what shoes are in question here.

Good luck to all those who have lost weight lately. I am losing very slowly but that is okay. Just have 10 more to go. I dont care if it takes me a while to do this. Maybe if I lose it slow enough it will stay off this time
