You're going to love this. I heard it somewhere as a way to save calories. I give him the cone, it's tough for me because of the lap band. He buy one cup of decaf with an extra cup and gets a parfait glass to put the cone in upside down. Divides the coffee in the two cups and puts some ice cream in mine. A senior coffee and small cone at McDonald's. Cool and sweet and all for less than 150 calories. We then put a little coffee in the parfait glass, coffee sundae. Enough for me. He goes in to get a refill on his senior coffee with cream. All for about $2.18. We live on his retirement and my disability which comes to about $12,000. a year. Little treat mean a lot.
Nancy, I bought a book with pictures of Southern California birds but I haven't used it yet. I am still reading a book and watching DVDs on my husband's laptop. When my husband and I go out we get a McDonald's low fat ice cream (150 calories) cone and share it with my husband and he shares his senior coffee with me. We are both in our 60's. I'm doing good in the fun department. But I'm not depressed--mildly manic my psychiatrist said.
