Sandie - so glad you got a lot done. I am sure that feels good. I'll see if I can find the umpf to get started on cleaning things out this week.
I like those Jelly Belly's too. So many flavors. I even like the jalapeno and popcorn flavors. My friend's mom went to the Jelly Belly factory and bought some Belly flops. Creative name for them!
We had an Easter Breakfast and then our service. When I got home I was just plain tired as I woke up at 4:15 - and couldn't go back to sleep. And, we went through the time change, so that was actually 3:15. I took a 2 hour nap, then we had lunch at 3pm.

Happy Easter! "The message of Easter is not that Jesus is alive, it is so much more. The message of Easter is that Jesus has risen!" Colin Smith

Today is the last day of March, 2013. I still wonder where the time goes. It just flies!

Conrats to Syracuse and Wichita State for reaching the Final Four, Ohio State was a disappointment, but if the had to be beat I am glad it was by Wichita.

Yesterday I prepared a small ham, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, glazed carrots, green peas, chocolate cream pie and rolls. I will use the ham bone for beans and will make ham dumplings perhaps Monday. I had Joy take most of it home with her, including most of the pie. I sure didn't need it left here.

Joy brought me a bag of Brach's spiced jelly beans. I couldn't find them in he store I was at Wednesday. Those are the only kind I like, except for Jelly Belly's and they cost too much. I always treat myself to a bag every Easter season.

"Easter is the gift of HOPE
Easter is the gift of PEACE
Easter is the gift of LOVE
Let us rejoice in Him,
Who gives them all."

Easter Blessings!

Hood Mornming Ladies.

It's Friday. . . .
but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday Jesus was nailed dead on a cross,
...but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday Mary's crying her eyes out 'cause
her baby Jesus is dead,
...but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday The disciples are running in every
direction like sheep without a shepherd,
...but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday Pilate's strutting around, washing
his hands 'cause he thinks he's
got all the power and the victory,
...but Sunday's Coming

it's Friday People are saying, "As things have
been, so they shall always be. You
can't change anything in this world,"
...but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday Satan's doing a little jig saying,
"I control the whole world,"
...but Sunday's Coming

It's Friday The temple veil ripped from top
to bottom ~ the earth shook ~
the rocks split and tombs opened.
The centurion screamed in fear,
"Truly He was the Son of God!"
...Sunday's Coming

It's Sunday~ The angel, like dazzling lightning,
rolled the stone away, exclaiming,
"He is not here! He is risen!"

It is good to be back. I gained 7 pounds while gone, but this morning, my weight was back down those 7 pounds this morning. I know that flying, sitting around, and eating high sodium foods really affect me, but I was surprised to be down all 7 pounds overnight.

I was up again in the night from 2am until about 4am.

Today we have a Good Friday service at 4pm.

And, it snowed again overnight. Looks like we got a good 2 inches or so!

Hi Ladies,

Mariean, it is so good having you back.

Jon stopped by after work yesterday. He changed the light bulbs in my two ceiling fans. What a difference. The bulbs I had (half had burned out) were el-cheapos. It is so much brighter now. I have one fan in the living room and the other in my den (bedroom #2).

I have today and tomorrow to get more things done in preparation to Joy coming Friday after work. She will spend the night and we will get done as much as possible. I know there are two large boxes filled with old thing from Mom and Grandma, we will have to go through those.

It was 29 over night. Suppose to get warmer temps starting tomorrow and possible the return of Spring.

There are four NCAAB games tonight and four tomorrow night. Then there will be the Elite Eight.

Have a great Thursday!

I think it has been a week since I checked in. Just too busy.
I arrived home safely today. My flights all went well, and very empty planes - which was nice, other than the screaming baby for a good portion of my oversees flight. I was praying for that mother, because I remember our first flight with the kids here. Not a lot of fun.

Sunny - glad the Dr's found out what was going on and that you can do PT for it. I heard about that storm you got. What animals do you have? Where are you travelling to?

Sandie - so glad you have some help with your projects. I don't watch sports much, but I am glad you are enjoying the games.

I suppose I better get ready for church. Normally we cancel this Wednesday Bible study because of the Good Friday service, but my DH thought of that too late.

In CHRIST I can!

Happy Wednesday!

I am going to three stores this morning. At one I am just getting three items. I wouldn't go to them all, but I want their specials and I don't have to drive out of the way to get to them. I pass each one on the way to the other. When I get home it will be back to continue getting things done.

Sunny, I am looking forward to the games beginning tomorrow. Last night I saw some of the Maryland /Alabama game where MD squeezed by AL

Mariean, you have been missed, trust you had a good flight home. Now you have to let your body get use to what time zone it is in..can't be easy.

Happy Monday!

Thank you Kansas for taking care of UNC. Now I don't care so much who wins it all. It was good to watch FGC win. They are such a fun team to watch. I wish them well against FL. FGC is the first #15 seed to make it to the Sweet Sixteen. I enjoy watching these games.

I just have two loads of laundry this week. I am spending these days doing more organizing. My pantry shelves are organized and it is so nice. I want to do a few more cupboards and leave the largest lower one for me and Joy. I started on the drawers in my bedroom too. Joy and I will do the closets, take out winter clothes and bring in the spring and summer ones. She will come Friday after work and stay Saturday until we are done.

April 6th, Joy,Sara,Summer and Jake (if he isn't working) are coming here. We will do the building, going through every box, re labeling them and getting the building organized. We will put my things on one side and the things for Summer on the other. It will be good having everything organized and in their proper places.

Make it a great week!

Being from Kansas, I am very partial. Our middle son graduated from Wichita State and our DGD is planning on going to KU. In Kansas, if you graduated from HS with at least a 3.8, you get your tuition "on the house" or compliments of a State supported school. She has a 3.9 and is trying hard to maintain that so she can go to KU.

We woke up to a winter wonderland - white out conditions. Visability was about 1/4 mile so driving into town was out. We missed the Cantata but I will pick up the CD when I am in town next.

So glad the girls help you. I got rid of my heavy vaccume and got a Simplicity Freedom and it is actually made in the USA (St. James Missouri down by St. Louis). It does an amazing job, is lightweight, and is self propelled. I love it. If you have a Target, I understand some Targets carry them. We bought ours at a local appliance dealer.

Take care and have a GREAT week.

Hi Ladies,

Woke to heavy rain and cooler temps this morning. High today is to be 47

We had an enjoyable time yesterday at the restaurant. Jake seems to be nice. Afterwards they came by my place for a short visit.

Sara mopped my floors and ran the vacuum. My vacuum is so old and heavy. I run it sometimes, but when one of the girls comes by they always run it for me.

That was some game with Wichita State beating Gonzaga. I am counting on Kansas taking care of UNC today. There have been some mighty fine basketball games thus far.

Glad you got to meet Jake. I like the Texas Roadhouse and we just got a new one in Quincy but I haven't been there yet.

Great NCAAB games. KU won last night but I understand K-State fell to LaSalle by one basket.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Today I meet Jake. We will have lunch at the Texas Roadhouse. I don't care for the music they play, but love their food. I don't eat salad, but I will eat some of the lettuce. I am taking a small spray bottle with ff Italian dressing. I don't care for dressings is why I like to spray just a very little.

There were some really good NCAAB games yesterday. The Georgetown/Florida Gulf Coast was the best with a FGCU win. FGCU is a #15 seed and Georgetown a #2.

Sara spent the night last night. We will have some breakfast shortly. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.

Happy Friday! This is the day Summer and Jake have been counting down. He will arrive late this afternoon. They are both beyond excited. He is leaving his family and friends in NC to live near the "girl he loves". His work has transferred him but he is wanting a better job. He has been called for an interview next week.

More things got done yesterday, mostly in the kitchen and pantry. What I don't get done today, I will get back to tomorrow afternoon.

I am enjoying the NCAAB games. They were on three different stations at the same time Yesterday, so my remote got used lots. I told Summer I wouldn't go out to eat during March Madness with anyone but her. There isn't much I wouldn't do for that special girl. If anyone else asked I would need a rain check.

Time to get started for the day. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

Hi Ladies, It was 29 during the night, but it still smells and feels like spring.

Any more it takes me so long to get things done. But Mariean, you are right, it does feel really good when there is progress.

I talked with Summer on her way to work this morning. Jake arrives tomorrow then Saturday we will meet for lunch.

Our oldest and best KMart is closing soon. That leaves us with one on the other side of town. I don't go there often, but certainly prefer it to WalMart. I try never to go there, probably go there no more than four times a year.

I best get started as that is the hardest part of getting things done...the getting started.

Happy Spring!

Today is errand day. I always try to go to the grocery on Wednesday. I won't be getting much, but I have coupons for a few specials.

Sunny, glad to hear PT will help back problem.

I heard the neighbor on the street behind me mowing his grass the other day. Jon told me he has some blooming daffodils in his yard. And when I steeped out to smell some fresh spring air, the birds were singing. Sure signs of Spring.

Make it a great Wednesday!

So sorry to hear your daughter is sick, Mariean. Hope she felt better today to go for the interview. I know you are enjoying your time with your Father.

MRI report is back. I have a bulging disc very low (L5S1 area) but no surgery required. Yea!
Doctor says Physical Therapy should help. All in all, I am very happy with the results. I should be all better to be able to do BLC22.

I am off to watch some TV with DH.

Hugs, Sunny

Hi Ladies,

Mariean, sorry your daughter is sick. Perhaps a good thing from it is that you two can rest a spell and perhaps slow down a little. Enjoy your time with your Dad.

The weatherman was right when he called the rain for yesterday a "soaking rain". It will be good for the flowers about to bloom and the grass. Tomorrow Spring arrives! We've had a good amount of rain and cooler temps, but that won't last.

I am getting much accomplished. I am getting the kitchen cupboards and drawers done. The bottom ones I will wait until for when Joy comes. I also started the pantry. I had things that expired in 2011. I still use things if they expire within a year, but not two years.

Think I will have some cream of wheat this morning. I came across a box I had gotten a few months ago. It will be different as I haven't had any in many years, like not since the sixties.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

I'm at my Dad's. Relaxing time, but my DD is sick. She was suppose to have an interview today, but we had to reschedule. I still am not sure if we will be able to make it. We have a lot of blowing snow, and school is already 2 hours late, so not sure how the roads will be. I hate to drive in snow, and it isn't my car. All of that makes me nervous.
We will see how it goes overnight.

Happy Monday!

It is good to reach another Monday. I need every day for awhile to be like my Monday's because I have lots to accomplish. Sara is coming Friday evening to spend the night. It is rare for me to have her for that long. We will go to lunch Saturday along with Joy to meet Summer's Jacob. Joy and Summer have met him. Then I will have next week to prepare things for when Joy comes after work Friday to help decluter this place. She will return home when we finish Saturday. I have two busy weeks (busy for me).

Ususally I have 2 or 3 bags of trash for the roll out trash can. This morning when I rolled ot to the curb there were six bags in the cart. I guess that shows progress or that I have lots of trash.

Today's high is to be only 56 due to rain. The weather man called it a "soaking rain".

Make it a great Monday!

Well, that spring didn't hit the midwest yet. We are suppose to have a blizzard tonight. I hope it will be better by Tuesday so that I can travel again. I spent 3 hours on the road today. My day started at 5:30. I went with my DS to church and they travel 2 hours to church. I am now at my Dad's until Tuesday.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

"St Patrick's Garden Lore: Cabbage seeds are often planted today, and old-time farmers believed that to make them grow well, you needed to plant them while wearing your nightclothes."

It seems Spring has arrived early this year. The good thing about it is no heat needed and no air needed. I've had my kitchen widows opened since yesterday.

My two least favorites in the ACC are playing for the Championship today. I will have to be for Maryland over UNC. I am looking forward to some good games during "March Madness".
The games begin Tuesday.

Good Morning,

Mariean, my car has a good size dent because it was a cement pole. Jon now says it knocked something in the steering and something else. My car wouldn't know how to act if it had an alignment. It has been good to me.

Here it is another weekend so soon. I was thinking last night about how much longer it takes me to do things when it never use to take nearly that amount of time. That is why I look forward to getting everything gone through and sorted. If I haven't used it since I retired, it will go into a box for Summer and into the building.

I am not too pleased with last nights games, especially UNC's win. Not to mentionDuke's loss. Today I will have to be for MD and NCST.

We are having lots of wind, but it is still to be 77 this afternoon. Enjoy your Saturday!

Sandie - so sorry that you hit that pole! Last August I backed into a trash can and it seemed so light that I was shocked that it dented the car. Like you said, it could have been worse.

Hi Ladies,

Welcome back to the States Mariean. I know you will have a busy but wonderful time these two weeks.

I never like to hear people, especially myself use the words..."This isn't my day." Because that is not true. Every day is our day. I came close to saying it yesterday morning. I went out to get my hair cut. I have lost my sun glasses. I was in the parking lot, no cars around as that end of the area had not opened yet. The sun was right in my eyes. I turned to the left towards the shad to park my car and wait five minutes for the shop to open. I ran into a bright yellow cement pole. The sun caused it. Since I havenlt It sounded worse than it was and I know the damage could have been worse.

I am still getting small things done. I was able to do some things while watching some NCAAB. Saw some great games. And saw some not so great ones.

Maje it a great Friday!

Hi Ladies,

I am so pleased at yesterdays accomplishments. Nothing big, but many small things. One was defrosting my freezer. When Summer lived with me she bought a small chest freezer. It's just the right size for me. It's not hard to defrost, it is just getting started. My house had a large side by side and I had plenty of freezer space, but not here. The biggest thing I miss is the ice maker as I use lots of ice.

I am getting my hair trimmed this morning. When I get home I will continue getting small things done. The last weekend of March Joy is coming to help with big things.

The ACC Tournament starts at noon. I look forward to some good games. There are other tournaments as well, I will watch some of the SEC, but I prefer the ACC. Today is to be another spring like day. Enjoy yours!

Hi Ladies,

I am thankful for a good report from the DR. I still; have a ways to go, but am on the right path to a complete recovery.

After I left his office I went by the Publix to get a couple more of their weekly specials. Their ad changes today. When I got home I began to start getting some things accomplished. Wednesday is my grocery and errand day. I may not go this week since I got a few things yesterday. I will check their ads again this morning.

Tomorrow begins the ACC basketball championship games. I am looking forward to some good games.

It looks like we are done with winter. We sure didn't have much this year. Have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies,

This morning I go back to the surgeon for a f/u, hopefully for the last time. We had a nice rain shower all though the night and it is still coming down.

May you all have a great day. every day is a special gift. I read not long ago that "there is no such thing as a un-important day, each day is a gift, open them .... be thankful for what you do have.."

Good Monday Morning! I realized that I did not answer some one's question about how many services our church has. 0ur Church has 4 Sunday Services. They are 9a.m., 10:30a.m., 11:55a.m. and 5p.m which is the same as the morning services. On Easter there will be four services On Saturday and four services on Sunday. I go to a mega church!

Today I am doing much needed housework and also I am going to spend more time with The LORD today in Prayer.

I too am not so organized since I have been retired. Although I am trying to change that.

Everyone, please have a Very Wonderful Monday! emoticon

GOD BLESS!

Happy Monday!

I got a head start on my laundry. Shortly after midnight I put a load in the washer. When I woke at five I put it in the dryer and started another washer load. It is so good to be back at where things were. I am not all that organized since I retired, but I love my Monday's and love getting certain things done on that day.

The ACC Tournament begins Thursday. If Duke doesn't win I want one of the times that wouldn't go to the tournament to win the Conference so they will get an automatic bid. Also if Duke doesn't win, I want anyone but UNC or Miami to win the ACC.

I have been going through my closet, trying to find something to wear when I go out to eat when Jake is here. I came across a nice pullover sweater. It is black with pretty spring daisies, but it will be too warm to wear it. I read where it is to be 62 that day.
I want to get my hair trimmed before then.

My dryer just buzzed I am going to go fold things, a task not to my liking. Make it a great Monday!

We are cooler here in Missouri too, Mariean.

We had a good service today too and it was my week to teach sunday school. I taught on Daniel 9 - Daniel's Prayer. Given the condition of our world, the prayer could be most applicable for today also.

Hope to find out this week about the MRI on my back.

Louise, your church does sound large. We went to a "mega church" for quiet a while and even though we attended regularly, we just never felt "connected". We prayed about it and found the church we now attend and just love it and the people there.

Well, ladies, I am off to watch The Bible on the history chanel. Have a GREAT week.

Sandie - it has turned colder here again. I am hoping we don't get the snow they are forecasting.

Louise - How many services does your church have?

We had a nice service today. We meet at 9 for communion and then at 10 for our normal service. Then we went out for dinner as a family. We let our kids choose where to go for their "farewell" meal. I had a nice salad. The rest of the family had Wiener Schnitzel. Then we went to a Health and Fitness show. They had tents, bikes, and a lot of crazy new age stuff. Not at all what we expected. I did get some seasonings and a free blood test (blood sugar and cholesterol) both of which were normal and a free massage. They sold the electric massage thing for about $200! I would never pay that.

Tonight we will do a little packing, and tomorrow after doing a little school, we will head downtown as a family to spend some time. Then finish packing and Tuesday we fly.

In CHRIST I can!

Good Morning Everyone!

Today my husband and I are greeting at the 11:55a.m. service at Church. Our church is a very, very large one. I have to say though since we have been Greeting I have met a lot of people I did not know before. It is fun greeting.

Then out for a healthy lunch. Since I did not go grocery shopping yesterday I have to go today. Then if the weather permits--it has been raining in Arizona--we will go walking around one of the many parks we live near.

EVERYONE, PLEASE HAVE A VERY BLESSED AND WONDERFUL SUNDAY! emoticon

Louise, sometimes it is good to just take it easy. Good hearing from you.

I woke this morning aound five. I can never tell if I gain an hour of sleep or have an hour less. Some people say it effects them, but it never has me. I just know when it is sometimes bedtime, it is still daylight out doors. It would be depressing if I allowed it.

Yesterday was filled with lots of good and some not so good NCAA basketball games. he vest game was Duke winning over UNC. This is the last weekend of regular games. Conference Champoonships will be this week. Then...March Madness...I love it!

Our weather is lovely, like springtime. Spring is just around rthe corner!

We do not change time here in Arizona and I really like that.

Today I am kind of taking it easy and working on my writings. I am writing two different devotionals.

Later I do have to go grocery shopping.

Sandie - We don't have the time change this weekend, but rather on Easter weekend. I don't know why the difference. I would prefer not to change either.

Today my kids are doing school, I am cleaning and packing. I also made some cookies - monster cookies - which I am taking to church tonight, and some other cookies. Interesting they are. They have bananas, walnuts and oatmeal in them. That's it! I would put in some ground flax seed with water (substitutes as egg) and some cinnamon. My DD's children have some major allergies and I ran across this recipe. Sandie, I don't know, maybe you sent it to me.
We have a film night at church - Courageous. That actually starts in an hour. I am resting with my cup of coffee then I need to get ready to go.

emoticon For those of you who are effected, remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour before retiring tonight. I do not like DST. We have eight months and 15 days to endure this. I know many people prefer it, I never have and never will. I only change the clocks that automatically change themselves. The rest stay at the real time.I plan on enjoying this last of of the real time.

I am slowly getting things done. weather is lovely. Suppose to be in the mid to high 60's all next week. No freezing temps even at night. Looks like winter is about to leave for good. We actually had no winter this year. Maybe next year.

There are pros and cons to making movies or books from Biblical themes. Some things have come out real well, others have been horrible. I got a movie from the library - suppose to be on the life of Jesus, and within 10 minutes we ended up turning it off as it made Jesus look like he was lusting after Mary & Martha. I don't remember if it was made in Germany or USA. I was looking for something to show to an unsaved neighbor, but that obviously is not a picture of Christ. Some of the movie makers may say the end ("reaching someone for Christ") justifies the means, but I would disagree because we must honor Christ.

Sunny - I am sorry you are back to having pain. Are you going to be seeing a doctor about this?

Sandie - I am glad you are finally feeling good enough to do a few things.

Today I felt like I just putzed around (is that word?). I had a sign up sheet to make for Easter, I printed two of my DD's school papers that we will mail to the school, printed the Weekend challenge for one of my other teams so I can keep track of my activity over the weekend, printed the C25K program for a man in our church, finished our finances, took care of a rebate form, ordered a couple books and a new Bible cover from CBD...the list goes on. I did also get a run in and a couple errands, so I have walked or run over 4 miles.
Now I am sitting here with my coffee and resting before I make pizza. The dough is still rising.

Have a good weekend!

Daylight Saving Time Begins in two days!

I haven't done much around the house since I came home from Union, except some laundry. Since I am finally feeling better, I am going to try and get some things done today and tomorrow. Nothing major, just little things I have neglected.

I didn't watch the first of the Bible Series on the History channel. I knew it wouldn't be Biblically sound, so I cose not to view it, Perhaps I was wrong, but I have been Conservative by choice all my life. I think it is probably a good production for those who want to see it.

I best get busy. Enjoy your day!

That makes sense about the $150 a month. Good idea to talk to the board.

Yes, we do have to keep that in mind when reading "fiction" based on scripture. The author may take some liberties with it. We watched The Bible on the History Chanel last week and while I was disappointed with it, a friend reminded me that the object of the production was to reach those who are lost. Baring that in mind, I wil now praying for the series.

Today, I went to Joy Circle and stayed for lunch with the women. That was nice.

Tonight we have our Lenten studies.

After feeling good for a couple of days, I went to be with pain last night. Today, resting and taking ibuprofen.

Sunny - you are right. When I read the Left Behind series, I had to remind myself that it is a novel.
Let us know what they find out with your MRI

I think the reason that we don't qualify is that our mission saves back $150 a month for vehicle replacement, and when you are ready to buy a vehicle, they dump the money into your account, and then you are taxed on it all at once. It is good it that you don't go into dept for a car, but then your income is suddenly extra high one year. It is frustrating to me. This is the second time this has affected our kid's college money. I am going to talk to the board about it though.

Oh, and I did get in my run yesterday. Felt so good to finally get out again.

In CHRIST I can!

It is the author's take on things - in my opinion. She quoted a lot of scripture but DH said I have to remember that it is a Novel.

I am going to have an MRI as soon as it is scheduled. My Nurse practioner has ordered it so will wait for scheduling.

So sorry to hear about the FAFSA. Wonder why?

Do have a good day tomorrow. I have Joy Circle in the morning and am ready. We have to have two work sessions the next couple of months to get all of the bandages rolled for our White Cross contribution this year. One of the men at church made us some "rollers" so we will be able to send the 50 more bandages this year and maybe more.

Take care and have a good day tomorrow. Hope you got your run in, Mariean.

Sunny - emoticon for no pain! You will have to let me know how that book is. The review you posted seemed to be a Judas sympathizer? Not sure. If it is a novel, it may be the author's take on things - so I would be interested in your opinion and how close it is to Biblical accounts.

Sandie - how is your healing going? I hope you are doing better. I continue to pray for you.

It is sunny and beautiful out. I have clothes on the line. I am waiting for DD to take her final exam in English so I can get out for a run.
Found out we won't likely get any fafsa...which is a big disappointment.

Good Morning,

Today is grocery and errand day. I will only be going to Publix, the other stores don't have any specials that I need. I will leave fairly early.

Sunny, it is wonderful to hear of your sister's progress.

I just have three more does of this antibiotic. I will be so glad. No more N/V. I am not taking this mornings dose until I get back from the store.

Have a great day.

I will be praying for you, Mariean, as you travel. Do enjoy the time you have.

I got up with no pain in my leg today (Hallelujah) so it has been a good day. I biked & finished reading my book. Now, I am ready for my new book by Tosca Lee titled Iscariot, A Novel of Judas. It arrived yesterday and DH has already read it. He said it was very well written and the author very refreshing.

It is snowing heavy right now. You are so right about the snow here, Mariean. We have had a lot more than usual this year. I am so ready for spring and the calendar says 15 days. YEA!

Sis is doing great and managing well at home. She is very aware and in touch with just how blessed she is to have such a miraculous recovery.

Take care and do have a good evening (night's rest for you Mariean). See you all tomorrow.

Pretty quiet over here.
I got a lot of things done for my DD's registration for school. We had to get HS transcripts and transfer some college credits of classes she has already taken while still in HS.

Okay, since it is already 10:30, I better get to bed. We are still getting up at 5 to get started on school. It makes for some very long days.

I have been dealing with pain in my left leg and hip so wasn't able to do a lot this weekend. I did put a call into my doctor today and hope to have an MRI soon to find out where this pain is coming from. I think it is from scar tissue from my back surgery 10 years ago but there is a possibility it is something else.

Mariean, I know you must be getting excited about your trip to the states. It will be here before you know it.

Sandie, enjoy your time with Summer and her boyfriend.

Happy Monday!

Today I will get my monthly meds at eight. I order them on line a couple days before I want them. I use the drive thru, that way I won't see things in the store I may think I need.

I have a load of laundry in the dryer and another in the washer. It should all be completed this morning. That is always a great feeling.

I've put back money from my check to get my hair trimmed towards the end of the month. Summer's boy friend is coming from NC. Several, six I think, are going out to eat at the Texas Roadhouse. Summer told me about it this far in advance so I would be sure to make plans for that evening. Her and Jake seem to both be very happy. He is moving to Union as soon as he can.

Enjoy your Monday.

Marian, you are sure a busy lady. I counted the antibiotic pills and my last dose will be Thurs morning. I take two in the morn and two at hs. I started on them Monday morn. Will be glad when it is all over.

When I looked at the clock yesterday is was only one...I thought it was at least four. Such a long day. When I looked at the clock yesterday is was only one...I thought it was at least four. Such a long day.

Tonight I will watch Cupcake Wars and not sure what else. I started watching the UNC game, but they were winning so I stopped watching. The ACC has two more games before their conference championship. Then comes March Madness. I watch about all those games.

I forget Mariean, what day do you leave for the States?

Ahhhhhhh.....the farewell party is over, overnight guests have gone home. So nice to just sit here and relax.

Friday we went over to a couple's house for dinner. Very nice time with them. Saturday I took my DD, her friend, another lady in the church and her son candle dipping. After that I came home and made cupcakes (italian cream cake) and brownies for the farewell party. Then I took the girls downtown for a tour of our city and some shopping. Lots of walking, which was good for me. Then back home and made pizza for dinner, and then sloppy joes and a soup for the farewell. I finished that all up at 10pm. Long day. I ended up on my feet all day, with barely a break, and by bedtime my hip was really hurting. Took Ibiprofine after laying there for 15 minutes and being unsuccessful at finding a comfortable position. Then I slept well.
Today went well. We had about 40 people.
Tomorrow we will again start our day at 5 - getting as much schooling done as possible early in the week. Just 8 days until our departure.

Sunny - you have gotten a lot of snow! More than normal, right?

Ute - sounds like Zitronenkuchen.... oder?

Sandie - I hope that by Wednesday you will be doing a whole lot better - or even before. It is good that you haven't had to be on antibiotics much. They don't give them here as readily as they do in the States - at least the doctors we work with.

Well, tonight, I will be heading to bed early. I'm bushed from my long weekend.

In CHRIST I can!

Ute, thank your husband for me,. That was so thoughtful of him. I do take those pills after I have eaten I have taken very few antibiotic meds in my life. I guess my system isn't too use to them. I only have to take them thru Wednesday. Perhaps I will lose a lb or two this week.

This morning we had rain and just a few lovely snowflakes. Down the highway they got lots of flakes, nice big ones.

Enjoy your weekend ladies!

Mariean, sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Today I will have to bring the trash to the dump, vacuum the house, do some general cleaning and organizing and do some laundry. I already started a load, nothing in the dryer yet, though. I made a nice healthy breakfast (after my daughter Sarah kept feeding us her German Vanilla Lemon Poundcake she made yesterday..... heavenly!!!!).

Sandie, poor dear.... my hubby (da nurse) is asking if you have tried eating something 1/2 hour before you are taking your meds. He is concerned having the pills on an empty stomach might harm the stomach walls. We hope you feel better soon!

Sunny, your Lenten study sounds great. I will spend some time on a bible study today as well and maybe I will even pick up them knitting needles by tonight to make more blanket squares.

To all a great Saturday!!

Antibiotics can be tough on the GI track. Hope you continue to feel better, Sandie.

Woke up to it still snowing this morning. It is beautiful but may change my plans for the day. I had told Sis I would be down today so hopefully by afternoon, the roads will be clear enough for me to make my way down to see her and run some errands for her. If not, there is tomorrow.

Our Lenten studies started last night. It was suppose to start last week but was cancelled due to the snow storm. We did the first session and half of the second session. Next week we will do the same and then we will be caught up. The Studies is "The Last Days of Jesus" from Zondervon.

Just a little note - Spring is March 20th! I am so ready....

Do have a Fab Friday!!
Hugs, Sunny

emoticon March!

I think I am going to live a little longer. Some days I wondered. I am feeling much better. I have terrible nausea, but it is from the antibiotic they prescribed for me. I will continue to take it until all the pills are gone. I take two at night and two in the morning. Except for a saltine or two I wait and eat around two in the afternoon.

Enjoy this new month!

Wow! Cool! I love that you know all these facts, Sandie.
How are you doing today?

Got up at 5, company coming, kids doing school, shopping done, laundry in the washer, laundry in the dryer, house vacuumed. Need to clean the bathroom a bit yet. Decided I needed a short break before lunch.

In CHRIST I can!
