WATER is 8 ounces per serving, everything else is 4 ounces per serving. You can eat more in any category except legumes. Try not to eat tossed salads; they will leave you ravenous within an hour. It is better to eat the vegetables by themselves and preferably raw but cooking them is good too. If you like lettuce and want to count it as a vegetable serving in a salad, then you need to eat at least 2 cups of it to count as one serving.
