I barely managed to complete this one. The last couple in my last set were definitely touch and go. I also had to modify my leg position.

My legs were incredibly sore from the side lunges the day before and I could not do the dips with them straight. :-0 But I got them done!

Well...I tried to do the triceps dip, but every time I got to the second dip my left upper arm on the back side would cramp. Did the arm circles without a problem.

Okay so I was only able to do 65 of the tricep dips. But I am not gonna get down on myself I started late adn I know I am not in the greatest shape. So pace pace pace. I am still excited and feelign the burn. I am sure I will feel it tommorow.

Did the arm circles and the triceps dips. I have to do them with my legs bent instead of straight. The first time I did these they were a killer. They didn't disappoint this time around but I knew that I got through them once so I just pushed through this time. Must say that I am glad that they are over.

Did the arm circles, 100 forward and 100 backward, also 100 wall pushups, 20 triceps dips, bad knees so that's out for me. It's good to be working out again. It's hard to get motivated after vacation, for me anyway.

LOL Treesa. The nurse actually told me to use rubbing alchohol and apply it as I'm taking the bandage off - kinda acts like glue remover. If the bandage was any other place than where it is, I'd just do the quick yank.

All I know is that the bandage and where it was accidentally placed reminds me of "Two and a Half Men" when Charlie talks about how Rose superglued his "boys" to his leg.

I'm hoping I have rubbing alchohol in the medicine cabinet :_)

as my surgeon did to me when removing bandages from my hip give it a rip! If I could have sat up and slugged him I would have. He said he was just trying to not prolong the pain!. But seriously press the skin down in front of where you are pulling from and ice the area first it helps. Im sure icing THAT area is not comfy but it does help to get the sticky to let go.
I am in for todays challenge.

I'm in for the circles. I know I won't be able to do the dips at this time, anyways.

People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing -- that's why we recommend it daily.

Arm circles it will be.I might find some use for a couple of weights that I have laying down in a box catching dust.

How do you avoid falling off the chair with the triceps dig? I always do .Must be doing something wrong.Seems like my triceps are not strong enough to support my lower body.

Hi Mercedes!! Yup ... I can type, so the arm circles (or windmilling arms as I like to refer to them) is something I can do. I've actually been spending the evening kinda researching this surgery and what sort of rehab schedule takes place. Even little things like getting out of bed to walk several times each day in the hospital will count as a QF cardio for me. (LOL - after all, that's why I'm in the hospital - to take care of my cardio (heart) condition :-).

So thinking about it a little more, I probably will find a way to Quickfire everyday. Just that my set of routines will probably be very different than the ones tha Kelli posts each night.

It's so terrific to read about you Alan!! If you can type, you can probably do... arm circles?

So good to know you're well.

I'll do tricep dips and arm circles.

My frog these days: my intensive German language course. I eat it first thing in the morning, but then the homework takes about three hours of my afternoon! You guys know how long those German compound words can be. Supercalifragilisticespialidocious got nothing on the average German word!

Dipping today will be a welcome break.

Wow ... this practically hurts. And no, I don't mean the incision in my upper groin from the angio (or the rather humorous - in hindsight - fact that the bandage covering the wound is stuck to a certain male-only part of my anatomy, which will make removing the bandage an awfully painful experience tomorrow :-) ....


What hurts is that the best I can hope for is the arm windmilling. Not allowed to lift anything more than 5 pounds at the moment, and, while I've lost a lot of weight, doing a tricep dip would be lifting 162 extra pounds beyond the 5.

So I will do what I can do, and cheer the rest of you on for everything else!!


Have a great Tuesday. And allow yourself a laugh imagining me trying to remove the bandage tomorrow :-)
