I wish I had potted my plants....If I go into the hospital today, they will probably die.
1) put away my laundry
2) Pack a hospital bag
3) put away the dishes

1) That my dad can take me to the doctor
2) That every morning is a new start after the failures in the night,.

good news. I met my goal of doing a drawing. I will post it here on the wall........as soon as I'm done with this.
1) to finish up well on the food front....so far so good
2) To remake my bed
3) to go back to the Bible chapter I've been memorizing and see if I recall any of it at all. lol

1) Grateful that the big storms this mornng missed us.
2) Grateful that I did not take my daughter up on her offer of fresh oatmeal/cinnamon sugar pancakes.
3) Grateful for all the clothes that I have....way too many actually.

Yay!I met all of yesterday's goals.
For today they will be a little tougher.
1) do some artwork on the tablet I finally found.
2) put awAy laundry
3) I am debating whether or not to make an exercise goal...or just to do the dishes. Lol I think that keeping my first two goals will be a sufficient drain on my self motivation..so I will just do the dishes.

Gratitude:
1) that I found my tablet.
2)that I found at least 20 pairs of pajamas on top of my tablet. I almost bought a pair the other day!! I'm glad I didn't.
3)-I'm grateful for each one of you who spur me on.

No, I STILL didn't put away my laundry!! (this is a bad pattern of mine....I hate HATE putting laundry away.)

Janis,thank you for the link to that prayer...That just about covers everyone, doesn't it?
Goals:
!)To read through the Forgiveness Prayer again and think of specific people to "insert" in that prayer and then to forgive them.
2)To ask God for forgiveness for the times I've been a source of hurt to other people and to ask God that they would forgive me.
3) to go to town and buy a new mop

Today I am going out for breakfast with my Case Manager
Goal 1: to talk to her about moving into disabled house
2) to straighten up one of the rooms in the basement (find a place to organize my stash of yarn)
3) to clean up the kitchen and straighten my bedroom

Grateful:
1) That my friend who had a very serious car accident is so far, still alive...barely..appreciate your prayers for Matt.
2) That I got a shower and am squeaky clean
3) For the constant presence and protection of the Lord.

I blew it yesterday...coming here was the only goal I kept.
I did have asalad...butalso ate two of the most luscious brownie/candy bars.I brought one and a half home for Eric...and I only ate the half.The whole one is his: i PROMISE.

Yesterday and today have been excruciating so I excused myself from exercise. I really don't think I could have done ANYTHING using my upper legs or hips or lower back .

so anyway...here goes:

Goals:
1) to TAKE IT EASY TODAY. maybe --hopefully--I will cut this flare at the bud and hopefully not need any steroids. Do I believe
that?Not for a stinking minute. LOL.
2)pay my bills. (this is a bit of a cheat because I accomplished it before I wrote this goal!! But it was a big deal accomplishment to me...I hate doing stuff like that!

3) to put away the groceries I just ordered.And yes, placing that order was another accomplishment..

Goals: 1...to participate in this thread for one week.
2) To work in the basement,putting old clothes into bags(getting rid of all sizes under a12--they are just too much of a reminder of a body that I may not regain. If I do get down to a 10, I will have the fun of buying some new clothes.
3) to do my PT exercises and to add some lower body and core exercises to those I do for PT

Gratitude
1) that my daughter is her living with us and is SO helpful. I would be lost without her.
2) for a caring case manager who has become a very good friend.
3) For my dad and for all he has meant to me in the past few years.

To do:
1 - Move my brother's boxes over to his new house.
2 - Pick up the last part for dad's transmission
3 - Try on more clothes and put the ones that fit into the cleaned out dresser drawer. The big ones go to mom and the small ones go in a box marked "GET IN THESE!"

Blessings:
1 - That I got my workout done before the temp hit 85, feeling like 95 (per weather.com)
2 - That the lump I found on Max early this morning is gone. Will have to keep an eye on him for a while.
2 - That this weekend is here and that I may get to go out and see some old friends.

And my BIG WISH that I am going to add here...
* That the scale says something nice to me tomorrow for my weigh in. I've got over 900 fitness minutes & burned 8,392 calories this week and I really want to see 224 or 225 on the scale tomorrow morning, so I have to be good tonight.


CYN - so happy you have found a doc that will operate and take that chance for you. Hopefully by this time next year, you will have the strength to get back out to your garden!

Well, I forgot to do this in the beginning of the day...so I'm pretending it's in the morning.

1) Make chili and freeze it in individual size servings. (done)
2) To make miso noodle soup and salad for dinner
3) to spend some time in prayer

1) for the strength I need to get through the day
2) for my dad...he's a great guy...always there for me in a pinch.

To Do:
1 - Drop my father's car off where he will be working on it
2 - Do laundry and strip the beds in the house. Remaking them is what SUCKS
3 - Clean windows in my weight room. They have not been cleaned in years since they had curtains up, and they REALLY needed to be cleaned and the curtains are now thrown away!

Blessings:
1 - That I have a place where I am welcome to swim until my heart is content
2 - That my brother closes on his house Friday after being blindsided by a divorce earlier this year.
3 - That it has rained so much in the past 4 days that the ground is saturated, and my white eggplants are finally starting to make eggplants. The flowers are pretty, regardless, so I keep planting them! LOL
BONUS - Steve, aka Alaska Man, is feeling better, communicating more, and seems to be happier than I have heard him in quite a while. He's back to work and I think that makes him feel so much better. Now we've picked our pet names... Calico Kitty and Magic Man. LOL

Heather!! I't wonderful to see you. I hope all is well in your family.
I'm so glad you are joining us in this thread ....I find this one very helpful and have been trying to get more people to respond.

Here are mine for today.

1) to spend some time dedicated to prayer. I have a lot to pray about
2) to fold my laundry and hopefully put it all away.
3) to come up with a concrete plan as to when and what I can cook and freeze before my surgery. It's two weeks to the day from now...Time to get serious.

3) for the years when my friend worked to clean my house...she is now moving away.

My first time on this topic too, but should be good:
To Do:
1. Get to bed in the next hour and GO TO SLEEP (it is that last part I have trouble with)
2. Get up and go to work tomorrow morning (stupid RA and broken brains are not helping)
3. NOT eat over the nighttime when I am supposed to be sleeping

Thankful:
1. For a family that loves and supports me, even when crazies hit
2. That my mom is doing well after emergency heart surgery last month
3. That my dad could come down and help with the giant mass of weeds that had taken over the yard (despite my best efforts at killing said weeds).

I think I will just have to do this every day. Preferably twice a day if I start getting in a slump!

This is my first time doing this, so be gentle!

To Do:
1 - Mow the yard
2 - Pick up door part from Ford dealership and install
3 - Clean the dogs' ears and clip toenails

Blessings:
1 - My father mowed the yard before I got to it YAY
2 - That I have parents who tolerate me and adore me on most days & that I can entertain them with my every day mishaps. :-)
3 - My father's trip to the urgent care for a "dead arm" is a pinched nerve in his neck and NOT a stroke as we are all fearing (My uncle's stroke out of nowhere really has messed with all our heads this year.) But Mom and I are keeping and eye on him. He just came to me and said all he has now is some soreness and a headache. (I cried so hard in the urgent care center... I don't deal with this stuff well.)

1) to rest with a heating pad for the rest of the day.
2) TO not cook dinner...they should be cooking ME dinner but that ain't happenin'
3) To journal about how I'm feeling right now because if I don't things are gonna get ugly real fast.

-to get in a nice walk with the dog even though hot and humid
-practice at least one of line dances we are doing tomorrow
-get kitchen ready for new appliances tomorrow emoticon

- I feel better today...both sinus congestion and arthritis

1) to make some more progress on my current knitting project.

2)to put my laundry away.

3) to shower early enough to be ready for 2 friends who are coming here to pray with me.

Gratitude:
for the almost new recliner I got dirt cheap at a Thrift store.
for my necklace my daughter found which was missing for 3 years.
that we were able to buy a gorgeous car and get a decent loan percentage rate.

1) clean out the fridge and freezer. The repairman is SUPPOSED to come tomorrow.

3) and maybe go out for a walk...even if it's around our circular driveway.

1- to sew my bolster. I didn't do it the other day....but today I feel motivated to do it.
2- to try to walk around my house and driveway for a bit today. My legs and feet have been hurting so much that it dampens my enthusiasm.
3- To begin a juice fast today.

Thankful for the beautiful weather we've been having.
Thankful that I live in a country where I am free to follow my faith.
Thankful that I have the means to buy a few skeins of yarn to keep me knitting.

That my freezer WILL get fixed sometime soon. (that's a statement of faith)

1) do a workout video followed by the bike
2) Weigh and measure myself.
3) maybe take a walk

Grateful that our house was spared from any severe storms.

The last time I posted my goals, posting really helped me. It helped me to remember to do something I'd promised my husband to do that I'd totally forgotten about.

Today's goals
1) Work out. Do a strength training video and then do the bike.
2) Clean my room
3) Put aside more stuff to get rid of. trying to simplify.

Grateful for:
1) My housekeeper friend
2) that a friend cleaned up our lawn of leaves and sticks so it's ready to mow.
3) That I have JUST enough money to make it through the month.

Today I am taking the cat in for stitches,
Doing banking and getting a leak in the basement fixed. So I guess those could be my goals....bt I want to choose differernt goals

1) To trust in stead of worry
2) To pray instead of panic
3) to Ask instead of agitate.

Gratifude:
That we found the leak before it became a flood
that I was still able to go to Prayer meeting
That I found a plumber today to come and look at the problem.

I haven't set goals here in a while. Because today is almost over my goals will be for the rest of today and tomorrow.
1) to fold and put my laundry away.

3) to read my book
