I like Wednesdays, too and if it's up to me to pick, that's the day that I would pick. That was and is my Weight Watchers weigh-in day.
As to wearing a pedometer all the time, you actually don't have to. I wear my pedometer all the time EXCEPT when I'm doing my exercise videos and for my videos, I use this website to calculate my steps: walking.about.com/od/measure/a/stepequival
So, for example, if I do kickboxing in the morning for half an hour, it is calculated by 30 x 242 (steps per minute) which equals 7260 steps and then I put my pedometer on after my exercise and wear it for the rest of the day and at the end of the day, I add the two numbers together and that's my total for the day!
It's especially good if your exercise is swimming or water aerobics or bicycling because you really couldn't wear a pedometer for those, right?
