I love pears and eat one once a week. They are delicious.

I do egg "muffins" with grated cheese in the bottom of the pan. It turns into a crust-like "cup" to hold the eggs. Also, I usually mix 2 parts turkey sausage (8 oz) with 1 part Jimmy Dean spicy low-fat pork sausage (4 oz). And I mix three eggs with six egg-whites. It's a little bit higher calorie count, but it adds to the flavor variety. It usually makes 9 "muffins" and it's a great kick-start to my day. I can eat it in the car, too, if I'm in a rush.

I also freeze breakfast burritos every Sunday. I make 6-8 of them (but my husband eats at least half) with Mission 6.5" low carb tortillas (great source of fiber!), two ounces of sausage, one egg, 1/8 c cheese. It's higher calorie, but its a good one for me on the really active days.

Thank you so much for the ideas and the links to recipes. I will definitely try them out...they are practical for the mornings. I have been successful at losing with the eggs and bacon though...I lost another pound this morning, so it does seem to work. I have been doing this for two months though and I need a change ! Thanks again. emoticon

When I have zucchini, I make a zucchini scramble - just like a fritatta but you scramble it up (easier). Brown diced zucchini, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, ham/cooked bacon/cooked diced turkey sausage or whatever turns you on in a large pan til browned. Scramble eggs and pour it over. Stir until the eggs are set. I add garlic andf Italian seasoning, but you can season to taste.

Last weekend, I scrambled 4 eggs with browned celery, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, diced ham and cheese. I cooked the eggs until they were barely set. I dished it into 4 storage containers and I have been taking them to work for breakfast all week. I have one in the freezer for a test. The refrigerated ones nuke in a minute to a minute and a half.

I never get tired of bacon and eggs. They are 2 of my favorite foods.

Try searching for Oopsie rolls. Lots of variations out there.

I also make a hash of chopped sausage links, chopped tomato, chopped cheese stick and chopped avocado. Can't make this in bulk but it's a way to use up a bumper crop of tomatoes.

Leftover low carb chili is great on an omelette.

Atkins.com has lots of recipes and the site is free.

Try an egg "muffin" That is, put a slice of ham or bacon (or slice roast, or whatever) in the bottom of a muffin tin. Add veggies of your choice, such as mushrooms, green onions, peppers, etc.) then break an egg into the tin. Bake in the oven until set. Cool and then freeze.

Nothing simplier. You just grap one out of the freezer on your way out the door. Switch up the veggies and or the meat and you have a new meal.

Hi, those of you who know a little about me know that I am new to low carb. I am a long time pescetarian and not overly fond of meat though I do eat bacon!! I came into low carb kicking and screaming because nothing else worked for me.

I have been eating two eggs and 3 slices of bacon with tomatoes every day for breakfast for two months now.....and I am getting tired of it. It does however really keep me full ( I normally don't feel hungry again till late afternoon) and energized.

I would appreciate help from those of you who have done this longer than me if you could suggest
some alternatives to bacon and eggs in the morning, that is moderate protein and fat and low in carb. It has got to be quick and easy (maybe prepared once a week in bulkor not) and not too much washing up in the morning.

I prefer real food so no artificial meats or protein powders. I know I'm being a bit picky here but I know you gals will be able to suggest something.
