Thanks Bonnie. I think that may be my mini-change also. I still have to decide how many times a week I want to do it. I am thinking a lot right now cuz I am really stressed and need to do something. Sorry to say, but right now I am on my third beer today and I very, very seldom drink anything at home. Probably won't work when I am doing this tho.
Sit still,on a cushion, or a chair is ok too. Don't move-not even to scratch anything. Listen, but don't react. Sometimes, it helps to concentrate on your breath, or even to say in your mind, "I breathe in, I breathe out". If you get ANY other thought, you bring it back to the breath. In the quiet, we find an inperturbable peace, a timeless place where things like overeating are insignificant. Some people will try this and say,"I can't do it". But even seasoned meditators are doing the same thing. Go to the quiet, a thought comes in, bring yourself back to the quiet. Corrected a few things-typing too fast!!
