didn't walk today but I did 10 minutes of step aerobics indoors though. lovely day though. Sick little boy at home had to be dr. mommy today.

I continue to walk outside even during the winter. I purchased a pair of YakTracks to keep from slipping on ice...they work great. While I definitely prefer the Fall (I love the colors and temperature for exercising) I just bundle up and go outside anyway.

I use Leslie Sansone everyday 3 mile power walk. Today 5 mile :). Love that :)

I am definitely up for walking indoors. My road is covered with ice, so I'd rather play it safe but still workout. I joined last week but have been exercising/dieting for two weeks prior to that. At this point I need to shake things up/do something new to stay motivated. Is anyone else interested?

It's not necessarily just about what you are eating, but what's eating you

I have a walking dvd with Leslie Sansone that I do sometimes by my computer. I enjoy her workouts. It is not very difficult to do, and definitely burns the calories, and offers a great workout at the same time!

I use Leslie Sansone. She keeps you moving. I like how you can choose how far you want to walk and it shows each mile along the way

I also use walking tapes, biggest loser, prevention they all have walking tapes, easy on the joints, I have most of biggest losers, julian michaels her tapes are not so easy, kettle bell tapes, self, katy smith, billy banks, kettle bells, weights, stepper, bands, 4ever

I have vios and they used to have exercise programs, free, then 2012 they stopped them, I have lots of exercise tapes, my life saver, 4ever

try the walking tapes by the biggest losers, or prevention or leslie sansone. I find them not difficult on the back, knees or other joints, I need a back operation and I don't hurt after exercising with these tapes, cann't afford a gym so I have lots of exercising tapes, no equipment, apartment is to small, I live off a major highway and gas is to expensive so my tapes are my life saver,

Oh My Goodness - sometimes I am amazed at what seems like Brain Freeze or just Limited Scope. I never thought to check for OnDemand fitness programs. DUH - and the YouTube is also a great idea. I have been walking while watching TV but it's a killer on my hips - and I don't even have a hip issue. The walking in place versus a stride is tougher but I don't feel it as much if I use Leslie Sandone's dvds - it has more movement.
Anyway - so glad I read this thread to remind me that I don't need to stay stuck marching in place. :)

On Demand was a great suggestion. I found 2 "just walking" (1 mile, 2 mile) sessions with Leslie Sansone there plus at least one combo walking/sculpting with her. There were also walking workouts with two other people (Chris somebody and Jane Fonda). Since I can access on demand from my iPad with the xfinity player from Comcast, that gives me access to those in many locales! I did almost 30 minutes worth of activity this evening to wake myself up after a nap trying out 3 different progams (including the full 1 mile/20 minute session with Leslie Sansone). Very doable progams and I did feel my HR going up a bit - probably more than with normal walking outside.

Thanks for the links! Carrie, thanks for the tip about On Demand. I've been very intrigued by the idea of using this as a supplemental workout or indoors workout on the bad days since hearing about them recently. I'll definitely check them out and pick up some dvds if I like them!

I totally enjoy Leslie's Walking Video/DVDs. She even has some that include strength training. I used her Walking tapes all winter, along with Debra Mazda's shapely girl walking tapes. Just didn't feel like braving the cold this year to walk outside. Praise God for 'indoor walking'!! emoticon
