Does everyone here know how to check their spark calendar. Its a HUGE eye opener.

If you log in your food here and fitness............. it will show you alot.

Go to mny trackers ---------------------- hit start
scroll down the left side past my goals and progress. Right under that is 2 white boxes - one says spark streaks...... one says spark summary calendar. Click on the calendar. There is a legend on top of the page to show yoy how to read the calendar.........its easy and it will really OPEN emoticon your eyes to see how your whole month is and why you may not be meeting some of your goals............

check it out.

I do think it's good to revisit your goals and settings sometimes to ensure everything is still accurate. For a long time, I had this far-away date set as the goal for losing the 10-15lbs I'd like to lose. As a result, my allowed calorie range was pretty high and, while I enjoyed that :), I just wasn't seeing any progress.

When I reset the goal to use something more immediate (e.g., 5 lbs in 8 wks), I went through a bit of shock at the new range. But, by staying within it (or compensating with more exercise when I don't), I'm starting to see the scale drop again. I think it's good to go with shorter-term, more realistic goals and keep an eye on your settings from time to time.

I increased my weekly calories burned based on my fitness activity in the past month, and found I needed to eat more! So mow my program is adjusted, and I am hoping to see better results this month.

Ive changed my goals and challenged myself a little bit for the month.

I know that unless I chang things up a bit -------------- Im going to let another month pass with no changes. I can do better than that.

Im eating within range most days --- but not enough protein and not enough fiber. Reallyt have to work on those two things.

Happy friday

I think I'm good with this one. I let Spark set my goal calorie range based on my weight loss and time targets, and I set up a minimum calories per week I'd like to burn. I also already track fiber, calcium, sodium, potassium, and iron in addition to the regular nutrients.

It's definitely a good place to start as far as getting the most help from Spark. Seeing the calorie range it suggested and then looking at the math behind it really made me think and remember where I need to be. I lost sight of what I should be eating after losing my initial weight a couple of years ago - and that's why I ended up back up 10-15 lbs!

Thanks for the challenge, NJJazz. My program needs to be shaken up a bit; maybe this is a good place to start.

seems a bit complicated instructions, but I did already add fiber and can see my fitness tools where I want to, so I think i had accomplished the week 1 challenge before March started. My Mar. challenge to myself is to continue to monitor fiber, but to try to stick more closely to my calorie goals, at least 5x/week strictly, and the other 2 days closely.

Well here we are already at the third month of the year...............

The Irish say the third time is a charm............ and four leaf clovers are lucky.
This month our challenge will break down into 4 mini week challenges....

The first week will be spark tools and set up.

Go to my tracker ----------- all the way to the right - see the tab that says how to use this site. Click on that ------------ watch the nutrition video. Set up your nutrition tracker adding any things you want to change or add to tracking. Last month some people adding fiber to track.
..... ok - so nutrition is set where you want it.
Then go back to start ---------------- click start and on the left side of the page - you will see My goals and progress. Start with calories eaten ---------- change it to how many calories you really want to eat each day. Then go to calories burned - change it to how much you really want to do in fitness each day. Finish with weight progress and change it to your march goal.

Ok - now you are set up for the month of march...................

thats the first part of the clover............................ and the first part of the challenge.

Good luck everyone..................... I will add to the challenge every Friday ( which will forever stay our weigh in day).....

------------------------- we can do this !
