Hey, everyone... just checking in to say I'm thinking of you and hope you're all having a great week so far.

I kicked it off (starting saturday) with EXERCISE for the first time since the pneumonia mess. Yesterday was my day off, and today I'm going to have to get back on that beast.

(I think I'm just one of those people who will always detest the exercise stuff--in all my years, some of them with really consistent activity, I can't say I ever didn't HATE getting going. :-)

Oh, I quit smoking on 1 October. I have to keep saying it so I stay accountable on that one, too. I think I like not stinking or wasting my money on that stuff--stressful day yesterday at work, though, and I can't say I didn't want one.

I CAN only say I didn't have one! :-)

Great work, Randilee.... I'm so happy for you--you're going to make it!!

And even if some of us don't, we're all winners because we've all learned a little more about how our bodies work. Paying attention to your behavior and keeping track of consequences--either in pounds or inches--is awfully helpful. It is for me, anyhow.... I've found the food journaling and exercise are both required components for loss or maintenance (at least until I'm truly into the "lifestyle").

Can't wait to see everyone's results this weekend and next!!!

Haha, actually, I went to the doctor and she told me she has NO idea what it could be causing me to get sick and that I need further tests done. Not the most comforting doctor's appointment I've ever had, to say the least... emoticon

Hi... been MIA for a week out to Wisconsin for a reunion and a nice, long, bout of pneumonia (ARGH, that was awful hard to kick!!) Am doing better, and weight didn't get hurt too badly for my lack of exercise. (knock on wood) HOORAY FOR US ALL!!!

I think it's ok if you go a little off track, as long as you acknowledge it and try to balance it out with a very healthy meal and some exercise. emoticon

I am so so SO beat from this morning. I walked about 25 blocks in Philly today. Then when I thought I was done and able to go home I got to push an SUV uphill back into the parking lot it stalled trying to exit. By the time I got home I collapsed on the couch and relaxed! emoticon

I've been good on calorie intake so far today; not sure what dinner has in store for me, probably turkey sausage, potatoes, and salad. I could go without potatoes, but I have to practice a tourné cut for my culinary class! Then after that it is bed time!

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well with their plans! I'm doing ok. I'm doing my best to eat right. Today I went a bit off the plan because my boyfriend insisted on taking me to his favorite pizzeria in the Italian Market in Philadelphia, but I don't feel too badly about it considering all of the walking we did afterwards. My legs are killing me! (which is kinda bad since I have to do a lot of walking in the city again tomorrow for class lol) Other than that evil pizza, I've been eating very healthy and getting in a good amount of exercise, including strength training.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and a wonderful holiday! I have class for the next two days and then I'm going somewhere without internet, but I'm definitely going to try my best to check in as often as possible.

Calories kill me--just started tracking a couple weeks ago, and I'm consistently high or low, but it's only one high to every 7 lows. (Hopefully I'm confusing my body into letting some of it go? :-) BUT, I have been putting on an inordinate amount of time on my elliptical (for me anyhow). I do 30-50 minutes three days on, one off, three days on, one off, and so on. When I started being consistent about it, that's when I stopped dropping weight. Guess I'm rebaselining--the couch potato has scared the hell out of her metabolism, I guess. LOL! I need to get some strength training into the mix for sure; it's just hard to get out of a rut I'm comfortable in (imagine, a cardio rut! never thought I'd see the day....)

So how's stuff with you?? Having a great week?

Hi there, thanks for making me a friend! I've been only doing walking because I have a bad case of tennis elbow from too much computer game playing. so I'm upping the gardening and house cleaning and planning on making some awesome swiss chard this afternoon with chicken and pasta (whole wheat)

My current weight is 215. I have been walking at a minimum of a mile a day! I was on here a few years ago but did not succeed, so here I am again but this time I want to do it! I plan on getting some cardio dvds this weekend. Any motivation and suggestions are greatly welcomed!

Hi all!

I'm excited... I tend to lose about .5 a week (so 2 is a stretch!), so I've started doing a lot of exercise--managing to cardio 3-on-1-off-3-on for most of August (unfortunately, it's putting weight ON me, not taking it off yet... haha... hooray for muscle mass!). I'll keep nailing my fitness, calorie and carb goals, and I ought to be seeing results any day now....

JEN040219 - I'm the same way, I can't help but look at the scale every day emoticon

I've been away for a few days and haven't been able to weigh myself, so I'm probably going to weigh myself tomorrow morning to see what my starting weight will be and then go from there. Good luck!

I'm in! And I'm so addicted to these things that I'm weighing in on Fridays, Saturdays, and Tuesdays elsewhere. LOL! :-) So I'll start on the 1st and weigh in on Wednesdays here, I guess! (I look at the stupid scale every day--might as well make it "official" every day, right?)

Hey all! I feel like now would be a good time to start a new challenge. With tomorrow being September 1st, I think it would be a fun challenge to try to lose 10 lbs by October 10th! If anyone would like to join in this with me, just let me know! I personally weigh in on Fridays, but whatever day you weigh in, just check in here and discuss your progress, what you've been eating, how you've been working out, etc. If we work together, we can easily reach this goal by 10/10/10! emoticon emoticon emoticon
