Woo hoo! I finished the January Jumpstart Fitness Challenge! There were a few bumps in the road along the way, but I "got back on that horse" and kept going. What a great feeling to finish this, and how good it feels both physically and mentally to feel the added strength.

Who else finished the challenge? If not, are you going to start over and tackle it again? I had to do that after the first week, and it is so worth it!

How is everyone doing this week? What week of the challenge are you on? I'm on week 2, which includes finding an extra strength video to sub twice this week. I liked the pilates hips and thighs video so much I'm going to use it as one of my lower body videos once per week for the foreseeable future.

Do you have a favorite upper body video?

That pilates hip and thigh workout was good and challenging! I just did it today along with a 10-minute core workout. Not exactly following the challenge workout sequence, but getting the prescribed amount of exercise in regardless.

I'm feeling good physically and mentally -- stronger and more energetic.

Let's keep going friends! We can do this!

When I weighed on Mon. I noted I had lost 4.6 lb from Jan. 1 -not when I started the challenge. I measured on day two and will not measure again until the end of the challenge. I have noticed a slight change in the waist of my pants so that is too the plus. At this point, I am not looking for a specific amount of loss - either weight or inches. I primarily want to finish the challenge in the set amount of time. I have started several other challenges and have not completed any to date. That bothers me.

The hardest workout to date has been the Pilates Hip and thigh workout! It didn't help that I went and walked the Quilt Show today. By the time we headed back to the car I was having problems with my left side. Hopefully now that I have set for a while I will be able to do today's video! The diet side is not going well - this is the second day in a row being out to lunch. But I did weight yesterday and the scale is moving down a couple of ounces so that is still to the plus.

Day 4 ended up being an off day for me, other than my routine evening stretching. I am quite sore from the upper body workout of yesterday, and my right hip is a bit achy. I'll be back on it tomorrow.

I started on the 6th. So far I am keeping up but as I have not been as active as i should for the last few months, it is really kicking my $$. I measured the other day and have gained 2 inches in the waist with no real loss or gain of pounds so I need to get really busy.

I restarted it yesterday after several days of laziness. Yesterday, all day, I felt so good -- it must be the a.m. workout!

I'm doing it too! I started January 2nd, but I'm behind already so I'm still in week 1. I plan to take my time with it. If I don't work out every day, I'm ok with that. I'll just pick up where I left off and eventually I'll get it done.

Is anyone doing the January Jumpstart fitness challenge? I joined today and it would be great to have other Catholic Critters doing it at the same time.
