I am doing well. I did forget to pray with the kids before they went to school. I am also focusing on the meaning of the season and have been inspired by many of you to do the rosary daily.
My DH is laying new wood floor in our living room today so of course the little ones want to be where he is and they are testing my "I will discipline out of love and not frustration" commitment. Surprisingly that has become easier as well. I feel like a different person.

Win the battle today!
I wish I had made this commitment to God about 6 months ago because I am finding it very easy to stick to my food list. I don't even feel the need to have junk food. He is definitely present for all of us and I believe He is working through us. I pray that we will all be open to His power and grace. This group is finding favor with Him.
edit: Bella, can we have a check in like this for each day?

Win the battle today!
I am doing no white sugar and no white flour..So far, so good. I hate to eat leftovers today while my daughter had her pasta. She runs tomorrow and needs the extra carbs.

I have also been maintaining a very low intake today, with cottage cheese, yogurt, fruits, veggies and 12 almonds, and a LOT of water!!
I did the spiritual reading that I am doing on the days I do not go to Mass, and prayed the Rosary.

I just thought I would post to see how you all are doing on day 2 of Lent. My daughter is doing a 3 day fast....only liquids. I am doing, fruits, veggies, water and a handful of almonds....for the protein. I read my Bible today too...one of my promises. This is really getting me more focused on God too!
Barbara .....that's what my friends call me! Never cared for the name Barb.
Make it a blessed and healthy day! IT IS YOUR CHOICE!
