Buffed, I saw the cutest cartoon once. It was a large stone altar, and upon it laid a believer, on his back, his face turned toward the reader, one leg dipping off the alter, toe barely touching the ground. The caption read: The problem with a living sacrifice is it keeps tippytoeing off the altar! lol

Discipline is part of the daily i die package...the benefits are awesome the process is harsh. The flesh will rebel demanding total anarchy which always leads to hurt and harm. Becoming a living sacrifice is a process The pain of growth and discipleship is real. like a toddler you slip, fall, stand and repeat the process over and over. The good news is we have a faithful Father who patiently leading us, loving us and caring for us. Isn't G-d good? Fight the good fight all.

Grace is the gospel of Jesus Christ and as we rely more and more on His grace and truth of the cross the more we are enabled to step into peace. We are being transfromed daily by His grace and truth and so that brings un to stepping into His peace. This is what is helping me since last December, His grace and His truth which allows me to step into His peace and His grace brings about the transformation in me which works it way out to the outseide of me. I am so glad for you Shelly, It takes patience and leaning on Him completely to allow transformation to be completed in us.
No discipline brings joy, but seems grievous & painful, but afterward it is peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
This is a verse in the bible which has helped me in my healthy lifestyle. As I try each day to do certain things to lose weight, to gain muscle, and to eat correctly it is this verse which has helped me do it all with God's help.
As you start to discipline yourself to do anything at times your flesh will have a screaming fit! I experienced this just last week as I was trying to die to some of my flesh. I defeated it, but then caved in, then beat it. Then "fell" back into it, now I am beating it again. I am trying my best to transform my life in ALL ways. It is very hard, but each time I fail, each time I fall short, and each time I become weak it is God who is has picked me back up, it is God who filled me up again, and it IS GOD strengthens me!
This verse says,"No discipline brings joy, but seems grievous & painful, but afterward it is peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.: As we turn our lives over to Jesus, as we strive to be our best- it will be painful at pains; but after, oh after you will experience the joy!!! Your life will be rewarded in ways that you have never dreamed were possible. I have experienced such joy, but I am going for the COMPLETE package! I am going for THE LIFE which they Paul talks about in the bible. Obtaining The Life entails a lot and I am just beginning to study it, and practice it.
It says in this verse,"...but afterward it is peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.:" As I continue this journey peace has come into my life as I grow spiritually, stay in god's word, and become trained by it.
