Today I was led to read Ps.116 1-9
It really surprised me as sometimes it seems to me the Lord does not listen to my prayers while here the Psalmist praises the Lord just because He listens to his prayers!!!
Therefore I had to examine my whole attitude in the light of this & the previous Psalm (119, 1-8)
This is what I understood:
First condition to a happy life is obeying the Lord and following all of his commandments.
He always listens to the prayers of those who obey Him and He saves them - provided we follow His advice.
In the end I read Joel 3 18-21, with promises of new happiness and complete restoration.
May He grant them to you!!!

I hope this does not come across the wrong way, but I too get uplifted by reading my words, for they don't always come directly from me, by at times are inspired words from the Holy Spirit. I am blessed by this and I don’t take credit for this, It is why I tell my team members after they compliment me, I almost always tell them, this is God's team not mine. Also, I tell them, I am able to do the things I do because of God. It is right to give God the credit, I am not my own, I try as hard as I can to follow the Holy Spirit and obey my father in heaven. When I feel the Holy Spirit and write His words, because of my actions and not because of ME, people are therefore blessed.
I was struggling yesterday, my spirit was down, and I felt like I was perhaps getting depressed, but I did not know why.
My husband and I prayed about it before we drifted off to sleep. When I awoke I began to pray to God as I have formed a habit to do so. God told me that I have not been reading the bible the last few days, I have missed church the last few Sundays (I was sick, and then this past Sunday we were traveling)
Today as I did the things that keep me close to him I was once again filled with His Spirit, and I began to feel whole again!
Marcyna, it is good to hear from your. I have been meaning to write you back; I think you wrote me a few weeks ago, I have gotten behind in read and replying to my emails! It happens more often than I would like, but I keep up pretty well with it.
Well, I looked up the verses you read. How far did you go down? I wasn't sure so I will only write according to up & to verse eight.
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
Only you and God know what this means for your life and the things you are doing. Did you feel lead to read this verses?
When I read them they gave me meaning, and as I followed more meaning into my life was brought forth.
As for me and what I think is as follows:
I feel that what is being said is that you are blameless as you walk in to Lords ways. No one can cast blame upon you not even yourself if you seek God and try your best to obey His commandments and do His will in your life.
It is hard when we strive with all of our heart to behave as God wants us to behave, to honor Him in all of our ways. Through this breaking of our flesh we become more like Jesus, more holly in all of our ways. Through this process, I believe we experience pure joy as we become righteous through God as our efforts multiply. In our hearts and with our lips we praise God and all that he has done through us, because God's work has been done through us through HIS RIGHTEOUS, and through OBEYING him. Then the psamnest asks of God, as I obey your word, do not forsake me.

God is so good. Can't Do This On My Own is so encouraging and challanging. Thank you for all you share and give to others in helping them find a closer walk and a "bigger God". Sometimes we forget how much He wants to be a part of everything in our life.
Thank you for sharing so much of your heart with us, Shelly. It inspires us.

How to Receive & Maintain Peace in Your Life
The armor of God will help you to odtain peace within your life.
THE ARMOR OF GOD
Be strong in the Lord and in his mightily power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of the dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Therefore put on the full armor of God. So, when the evil day comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after having done everything to stand. Stand firm then with the belt of truth tightened around your waist, with the breast plate of righteousness in place, and your feet fitted with the gospel of peace stand firm. In addition to all this take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers & requests.
In the armor of God, Ephesians 6:10-18, one of the numerous verses which is written in this verse is, "With your feet fitted with the gospel of peace stand firm.”
I feel that this is saying that the devil and things about this world will take away your peace and it is our job to KEEP IT! Someone can pray for God to give you peace, but it is your job to keep it once He gives it to you. This world will come at you full force at times and we have to take our little hands of prayer & love those unlovable people and find peace within circumstances in our lives. We must give and serve others while we are suffering. We must love everyone as Jesus loves everyone, even those who harm us, and bring strife into our lives. Let me tell you I know first hand doing those things is is NOT easy. I believe before we die we will all have at least one person in our lives that are unlovable and at times they will try to hurt us in any means possible!
I had a person like this who was married into our family, my dad's wife. I thank God he married her when I was 27 and not while I was growing up. This person did unthinkable things to me and I had to love and respect her as she was doing them. I would forgive her and she would hurt me, I would give her and she would hurt me again. This went on for years! This was hard for me fo deal with for many reasons. I had to ask God to help me do it 'cause sooooo many times I just wanted to go off on her. But, really friends, it is never necessary to go off on someone. God will take care of them; we don't have to put them in their place, or give them an attitude, God can and will show them their errors.
As I was reading the armor of God today I kinda had a revelation, and I feel God wanted me to share it with you.
"…With the belt of peace tightened around your waist, with the breast plate of righteousness in place, & your feet fitted in the readiness which comes from the gospel of peace, stand firm!” d.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN WE HAVE TO DO?
1. We have to read the bible, for it says (look above) "... with your feet fitted with the readiness which comes from the gospel of peace..." So here is another good reason to keep reading the bible. Reading the bible should be a life time experience. Don't settle for reading the whole thing once. Don't pat yourself on the back and say,'" I read the whole bible." Trust me, you aren't going to get brownie points from God with that. Oh, sure He cares, but perhaps He will ask you,"Why did you stop there? How many times have you read your favorite book, seen your favorite movie, or watched reruns of your favorite TV show, is not my words just as important to you? Why did you not read my words throughout your life?'
2. You have to look up verses from the bible & read them & mediate on them
I will type out some verse on peace, but it is your job to read them, perhaps memories them. (You could put them on little 5x8 index cards and meditate on them.) Joyce Meyer says that if you can worry you can meditate. Meditating is just thinking about something over and over, and over.
3. Set your mind & keep it set!
The third part to keeping peace is, well keeping it. "With your feet fitted with the gospel of peace stand firm.” We must be determined no matter what we are doing to keep our peace!
This helps when you have an intimate relationship with God, but anyone with a willing heart can and will accomplish this.
A. Go to God and ask Him to help you give all your worries, stress, and heart ache over to Him. He wants to do this for you.
B. After you have given your burdens to God or attempted to ask God for grace & peace. Trust me I know it is hard, sometimes you have to try a few times. Don't give up. Keep asking God to help you do it. Through your faith and determination He will help you do it & He will take it. It will still be there, mind you, but the burden will be lighted God will give you His grace and peace; this is what He loves to do. He wants to comfort his children.
Once God has fulfilled this and we have done our part, the next step is perhaps the hardest one of all. Keeping it! Just as it is as hard or harder to maintain your weight after you have lost it, maintaining your peace is just the same. To maintain your weight you have to do the very SAME THINGS you did to lose the weight. The same thing applies to keeping your peace. Just keep repeating the above steps.
God has brought experiences into my life; and I have learned through very negative experiences in my life how to receive grace ad peace during the two worst times in my life. Now I am sharing what I learned with you so that your life can be rewarding and full of God. You can do this. God wants you to be at peace. Take the time, do the work, and start living the life that God died to give you!
Summery : How to Receive & keep peace in your life
1. Read the bible throughout the rest of your life.
2. Look up verses from the bible, read them, & mediate on them
3. Set your mind and keep it set.
4. Give your burdens to God.
5. Maintain the grace & peace which God has given you.
Dear Jesus I am asking you now to fill everyone with a double dose of your Holy Spirit. Let them feel you now and do as you want them to do. In Jesus name I pray amen.
I purchased a book from Joyce Meyer called, The Secret power of using God's word. This is where I found these verse on peace.
I acquaint myself to Him & I am at peace; by that food will come to me.
When I am trying to please God, He makes even my enemies be at peace with me.
