Sodium also plays a part in holding water. It could be all kinds of things. I would not worry about it.
Good luck.

There are so many variables. On the high day, did you recently drink or eat something right before you weighed in? Even though water has no calories, it does have weight. If you weigh yourself right after you drink 8 oz of water, your weight will be up a half pound. This is why I weigh myself first thing in the morning, before I eat or drink anything.

New low reached 149.2 lbs on 5/6/11. Made my weight watcher goal on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

Weight fluctuates a surprising amount from day to day. Depends on what you've had to eat, whether you've had a bowel movement yet, how much water you've had to drink and how much sodium you've eaten a day or two before. Mine has changed 3-4 pounds. As hard as it is for me, I try really hard to only weigh on WI day, although I def don't always do that!

Thank you all for your advice. It all makes sense. I just wish my weight would have fluctuated to the lower point on the day of my WI lol.

Your fluctuation isn't that much considering how the things we do and eat can drastically change our weights from day to day and even hour to hour. Like the other people suggested, don't drive yourself crazy by weighing yourself constantly (unless for medical reasons).

Best to not weigh yourself every day or more than once a day because your weight will naturally fluctuate - don't drive yourself crazy!!!

your two 156.6? were they at home?? and your WI day was at your WW meeting?? that would explain the difference... what i would do is weight myself just before my meeting and compare the two scales...
i am sure many out there say its not good to weigh every day... but i do it also..
and what did you eat?? a few weeks back fluctuation came up at the meeting.. and the member had mentioned a dinner that contained lot of sodium.. the leader had reminded us that sodium and the extra fluid that you are retaining due to the sodium stays with you at least 24hrs..

maybe someone else has a better explaination...

Weight fluctuations from day to day are normal. That's why some sources say to only weight yourself once a week.

weighed myself on Wednesday and was 156.6, weighed myself the next day (my WI day) and was 157.8. Weighed myself again the very next day and back to 156.6. same scale, same clothes etc. Has that happened to anyone else? Anyone know why weight would fluctuate so drastically from one day to the next? Thanks.
