Diana~ I too suffer from chronic pain, so when pain spikes up so does the anxiety.

When my anxiety triggers my PTSD I have a short temper. It is one of the symptoms of the anxiety. emoticon to you my friend. Call if you want anytime.

I am absolutely grump when my anxiety shoots up. Sometimes talking helps; sometimes writing helps; sometimes nothing helps.

God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Well, anxiety makes me isolate, and isolating makes me lonely, and loneliness makes me grumpy. But pain also makes me grumpy, which makes me isolate, and makes me anxious.

Walking generally helps me with all these, so I'm wondering if something happened on you walk, or if you were thinking about something difficult, that could have triggered the anxiety?

When I'm overwhelmed, I try to step aside and remember that I'm not in charge, and that I can only control what I say and do. Reaching out like you have done is another great way to lessen the anxiety. My thoughts are with you today.

Good Morning!

Grrrrr I am in a snarly mood. I don't understand it. I woke up in a good space (moodwise) I took my dog for a walk and then boom bang out of nowhere I just started feeling really edgy and irritable. I'm wondering if it's anxiety or if it's just mood swings. Just wondering if any of you have experienced irritability when your anxiety is up? I need to find a way to relax and get back into my good space!
