i don't know about y'all but when my BP gets really high I can feel it. Can't describe really what it is but I know. I ease into exercise carefully and never do a ton of cardio or anything that will raise my heart rate too high. I keep everything very moderate.

Thanks for your advice. I did some research on the effects of exercise on BP. Turns out mine reacted exactly the way it should. Your systolic goes up and the diastolic stays pretty much the same if it changes at all it should be a slight decrease.

Doctor advised walking as the best form of exercise for my high BP. And I am seeing some positive results.

I agree. Check with your doctor. Mine told me that walking was the best thing for me to do for exercise. But I have an aortic aneurysm also and she doesn't want it stressed too much.

I received the Wii Fit Fitness Coach for CHristmas. Last night I was trying to set up my profile. One of the exercises the coach has you do is jumping jacks for 2 minutes and then count your pulse. Mine was so high I could barely take it so I got my BP monitor and used it sinc eit shows my pulse rate too. It shocked me when I saw my BP had jumped to 176/84 my pulse was around 108. I have never seen my systolic that high since I was diagnosed several yrs ago. Can anyone tell me if that's normal for your systolic to jump from the 130's to 170's after exercise like that? I generally don't take my BP after exercise so I've never thought about it. I need to know if I should be concerned.
