The dr told me to cut back on salt the 2 weeks before and during but I couldn't because my body craved salted foods during that time.

Thanks for all the response and advice. It has been driving me crazy each month and it doesn't matter what i do it still goes up. So i took the advice and asked my Dr. he too was not certain , but did admit that it is possible since the body release a lot of hormone around that time.

Still not satisfied i Google the question and was amaze at the amount of persons who has the same problem. Apparently, it does happen but it is not well documented.

I am relieve emoticon ,and now i know that around that time i should be a little more careful of what i eat, etc. I add a few of the links below in case any one wants to check them out.

I have not had a monthly cycle in 30 years and that was before I had HP

I hadn't the faintest idea that the monthly cycle affects your BP. Will check this the next time.

Maybe PMS causes stress to raise it. Good luck! :)

I've never heard or read anything connecting the cycle with higher BP. But if your BP goes up every time please talk with a doctor. Wish you good luck.

Hi,
I have notice that whenever it is near and during my menstruation time my BP goes up. Is this normal? If so what causes it?
