Yes. When I was pregnant with my firstborn 19 years ago my blood pressure went up and I was put on bed rest. After delivery I started on medication and have been taking it since. I hope that I can eventually control bp without meds.
strap that baby girl to ya and take walks around your neighborhood, or push the stroller. If you have a Wii or video game system do zumba or one of the fun dance games. she'll be happy to watch in her exersaucer or other type toy or do it while she's napping.
omg! this is so me I had my first daughter 13months ago and since July I have had high blood pressure it comes and goes. My doctor said i need to start exercise. I still haven't yet exercised and i know i need too. how do i find the will power to get up and exercise daily?

My BP was normal during my last pregnancy and spiked into stroke levels in a 48 hour time span. I had major swelling in my hands and feet so i went on my lunch hour to my doctor to have it checked. He sent me straight to the hospital for monitoring..while I was there I had a placental abruption and ended up giving birth 2 1/2 months premature. My BP has continued to spike and I've been on meds ever since. I'm truly hoping if I drop this weight it will help maintain it all on its own.
I am dealing with the exact same thing. I have had two children and had preeclampsia with both pregnancies. After my second daughter was born my bp never went back down. I've been on medication for six months now. Trying to get it to go down with diet and exercise.
My daughter had preclampsia so bad she had to be airlifted to a major hospital. This was years ago. Her blood pressure did return to normal, but it took into the second year and a large weight loss. Don't worry it does go back to normal if you exercise and lose weight. Good luck
