Just posting an update. I was exstatic when I was able to lower my bp meds in January. I've continued to workout almost daily 60-90 minutes each time. I've also gotten rid of a lot of processed food from my house, so my sodium levels have dropped. I'm still having problems getting my pottassium, but still trying ;)
However, in the last 2 weeks, my bp starting rising again. it was getting so bad that I started taking my full dose of bp meds :( Either the bp meds aren't working yet or something is wrong. Met with my dr last Monday and he was stumped because my bp is rising, I'm showing classical signs of a diabetic (I'm prediabetic), and in the 4 months since I last him, i have not lost any weight, but instead I am gaining. urgh! I've done bloodwork to check my thyroid and made an appointment with a dietician next week to see if she could shed some light into why I'm not losing weight. I've followed the SP meal plan goals and rarely go over my goals. But I am definately at a wall and scratching my head at what I should do next. Any ideas would be great.
