yeah it does suck, im taking two meds and i was still having problems where it would spike up high then my doc told me to watch what i was eating to cut back my sodium intake to about 2 grams or abot 2000mg sounds like alot but it not really if you think about it a hot dog has abot 600-900mg for just one. its made a huge diff. for me i feel normal again."i still take my meds though" the up side to that is you will lose weight on the way to. you still and eat good food but mostly if you cook it my wife makes stuff from mrs dash web-site it is real good food real low sodium too anyway hope that helps you
i'm sad for you.my high blood pressure appear at the age of 23 the first time i get pregnant.my weight was normal since then i'm takig medicines ,have more weight and my blood pressure is still high???? what's the solution????I don't know that's why I'm here
Welcome to the team, kid :/ Unfortunately there are children with HBP. Teens. Young adults. Elderly. Thin. Fat. Black. White. Rich. Poor. Talk about your equal opportunity destroyer! But hang in there..even if it is some hereditary or genetic thing for you and never just 'becomes normal' naturally, you can manage. You'll get LOTS of info and support here to help you!

Welcome to the team. I know you will get help here. I think my HBP started around age 30 and I was not over weight. I was 145 lb, 5'11". was wearing a size 38 waist. There are many factors that cause HBP. Weight is only one of the ways to get HBP. If you have a heart to heart talk with your physician he/she should be able to help analyze the cause. Many times it can just be your daily living routine or work or just too much stress. Also , my doctor told me that it can be a hereditary trait.
