59 degrees with the high being 75! The last few days have been lovely which is welcomed after all the rain we have had, Just wish my sinuses or whatever this yucky stuff I have would find its way to the door and outta my system!!!

I just dont understand where the snow is. It was so close and it passed us right on by.

They are saying we are going to get an inch of sleet with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice on top of that... I don't know if I will get out tomorrow or not. They are talking about trees and power lines being down because of the ice...

Before the kids left for school this morning, I went out to start the car and thought I was going to freeze... It was 18 with a wind chill of 8, but it felt colder than it did the other morning when it was 0... I guess my body just didn't accept the cold so well this morning!!!

My son drives 30 miles each way, to and from work each day. I talked to him as he was driving home Monday night and he said that he couldn't see 2 feet in front of the car... they were in blizzard conditions and have been since that night... He called a littler earlier this afternoon and it was beginning to clear up a bit..

The white stuff is fine if you're not driving 50 miles to work. I haven't been able to decide if it's worse driving on the interstate or the back roads. You have the trucks on the interstate and all the bridges and accidents. But, on the back roads, I clench my teeth the entire time hoping I'm not going to end up sliding into a run or ditch.
Oh, I would love to see some of the white stuff... enough to make some snow cream...
My son lives in northern Indiana and they have 18 inches of snow on the ground. He sent me some pics this morning and it's beautiful!!!

I live outside of Louisville, in Mt.Washington. We got snow 1 timethis year and it was so BEAUTIFUL.

A little bit of snow sure would be nice! Franklin seems to be in this bowl that doesn't get snow but gets ice. Fresh fallen snow with like one set of animal tracks through it is one of the prettiest things I can think of.

I agree that snow sure can hinder the commute to and from work, but it sure is beautiful!!!

Gosh Tricia...I agree with you...I love Winter and they sure aren't like they used to be..I am looking forward to a Christmas eve with some snow falling but haven't seen that in a few years. The only thing that I don't like about the snow is when my hubby and sons have to drive to Georgetown to work and from here that is a two hour drive every single day...I don't like the roads with snow on them for their sake but the snow everywhere else would be perfect! : )

I can remember when we had lots and lots of snow in December, but how things have changed. I was amazed at the 77 degree weather we had in Bowling Green on Saturday, and don't like warm weather in the winter. I'm always telling people that I was born in the wrong part of the world; that I should have been born in the Yukon Territory because I love winter and snow so much!!!

So far the winter's been more like north Texas where I grew up. Deep freeze for a few days and then back to the light jacket weather. The wind this fall reminds me of home, too. The wind never stops blowing across the plains.

Saturday I opened my front door and couldnt believe my skin, it was balmy!! It was a great day, yesterday was nice, but not as warm, light jacket weather, today is about the same, I guess there is no use to complain, at least we arent getting a foot of snow or floods, knock on wood

Hey y'all! I'm loving this weather too. I HATE the cold more every year (heavens, could I be getting old? :p) Our poor yard looks like a desert, other than the areas over the septic system and bleeder lines, heh.

HI, cloudy here,but a nice warm breeze....hate to see winter come, but I love fall......I think everyone gets bored with weight lose, its just so hard to make those lasting changes and so easy to go back to our old ways....I just had to force myself to go get on treadmill....I am always glad I walked, but I have to have a mental chat with myself to keep on day after day....I have alot of weight to lose so I will be having a lot of those mental chats with myself ......so I will be the fat lady on the front porch swing talking to her self...ha ha

I am loving this fall weather, the leaves at my house are turning, but not as pretty and colorful as usual, due to the lack of rain this year...hear we are due some, but dont expect too much...am glad to see some new members, anyone wants to chat just email me, at valajn@yahoo.com, or just hit me up on here...am so bored with trying to lose weight, constantly its on my mind, never a break from it, sitting on my porch watching the leaves fall and the folks driving by, knowing they are thinking about the fat lady sitting on the porch, haha, well, anyway, hope is just a glimmer between the trees....
