Hi Amy,
I just joined a couple of days ago and I'm wanting to lose 15 pounds by September, fingers crossed. My hard core efforts during the week are gone to the way side when I have a couple of glasses of wine on the weekends followed by snacks the night of or the whole next day. No more wine for me until I get this weight under control:) Tired of losing the same 2 pounds every week..

I would love to join this challenge. I think it is the motivation I need to get these extra pounds off. I just joined SP today. I have gotten in a rut with my weight loss/motivation. Since the beginning of the new year I had lost 18 lbs., but this summer I have gotten off track big time and put on 8 lbs. from being too relaxed on my eating and exercise. It has really gotten me down that I put back those lbs. that I worked so hard to get off, it makes me mad at myself, BUT I am getting back with the program with a positive attitude and starting fresh-RIGHT NOW!

I basically just maintained weight this month and I really hope that July shows weight lose results. The plus to it is that I have dropped a pants size and I reduced my thighs & hips by 1/4" and my waist 3/4".

I'm up for a 5 lb challenge for July!

Great job to those of you who lost weight! Keep it up to meet your goals.

Hi! How is everyone doing with this challenge? I've been very hit or miss. I'm down three pounds which I'll take, but I really wanted five. July 31st is my goal to go down another five pounds. It was a month full of changes -- hubby got a new job, took a few overnights which included eating out and not exercising, and I'm beginning fertility testing. It definitely was not a normal month, so hopefully next month is more stable and successful. I've been doing Cathe step-aerobics DVD's about 3x a week. One of the DVD's alternates cardio with strength. I love it! But then again, I love everything about the 80's - exercising included :)

Anyone up for joining me in July to drop five pounds?

The past week was terrible as far as eating out and not being able to do my normal workout schedule. But, its a new week and I hope to get myself back on track - counting calories, weekly weigh in and exercise!

I6/15/12 Weighed in at 144. So I lost one pound from last week. I did much better to sticking to my calorie count and exercise and it seemed to pay off.

This week I almost gained a full pound. I'm trying to be okay with this because it was a holiday weekend and I let myself enjoy the food that was at parties & cookouts. I have been taking measurements of my thighs, waist, bust, hips and arms and the measurements are decreasing! So that is a plus. I also fit into a size 4 pants today - so even though I didn't lose this week and gained a little I do think that I'm making progress.

I hope everyone else is doing well with their goals!

So it is my first week check in. My scale was off when I weighed myself last week, so today I weighed in at 145 6/6/12. Next week I will weigh in again on 6/14/12. I have been working out consistently, mostly I use my Wii and do MyFitnessCoach and Fit n Six. I plan to add the Zumba because I feel like I am not getting enough cardio. Anyways, hope everyone is doing GREAT with their weight loss.

Tomorrow is the first day of June and by the end of the month we will all be at least 5 lbs lighter! Good luck everyone, we can do this!

I'm starting with today's weight - picking a "weigh-in day" (Thursday) and then I will weigh myself the last day of June as well...

It's great to see people join our challenge, welcome! I hope everyone is staying on track and on their way to losing 5 lbs. by the end of June.

Hi All, I'd like to join the challenge too! I need to set some real goals, and stick with them. So here goes:

Goal 1: Exercise at least 5 days a week. Really exercise- with sweat and everything.

Goal 2: Monitor calories and portion control. Little nervous about this one. We are going on vacation next week, and will be eating out 3 meals a day for a week.

Hello all! I would like to join this challenge too. I am a 31 yo who is 5'6 and 161 lbs. I have a muscular build. I was very discouraged this weekend b/c on Friday I weighed in @157 and the next morning when I got on the scale it said 160...then today it said 161. I have been doing Jillian Michael's Body Revolution & have been working out 6 days a week. I am going into my 3rd week. You can imagine my disappointment. I have been eating 1200 cals a day & sometimes lower. My smallest weight was 135-140 which was in high school where I cheered for years. I was a size 4-6. I am now a 8-10. I feel like I have been battling these same 20-25 lbs for years. I have a 3 year old and lost all of my pregnancy weight pretty fast through WW & doing Firm tapes. However, I felt so much anxiety about going over my points. I am definitely a type A personality & go big or go home. It's amazing how losing a larger # of weight is easier than losing the last 5-20 lbs.

Based on my some reevaluation, I have decided to increase my cals to 1500 (which is basically my BMR) & continue to count cals and follow the BR workouts. I am also going to get off of the scale for a month. I do notice a difference in my clothes & I'm not going to give up on myself or the process. I can do this. We all can. We all deserve to reach our goals & we can do it through sheer determination! Thanks for everyone's support.

I would like to join this challenge too! I have been terrible with my diet for the last month (studying for boards), and need to throw all the junk food out the house and start exercising more regularly.

I think 10 pounds in 2 months is very realistic for me.
Let's do it!! :)

Welcome LINZDLYONS & DAIZYNEE.

I lost a pound this week, so I feel that I'm at least getting on track with things. I'm a calorie counter as well and I try to keep below 1500 calories, although somedays are tougher than others. I work out at least 5 times a week, taking classes at the YMCA like zumba and other cardio based types. For the last 2 weeks I have been getting up an hour earlier in the morning so that I can run at least a mile to start out my day. Sometimes I feel that the weight should be coming off faster, but I also realize that I want to have realistic goals and need to be patient otherwise I may get discouraged & give up.

APPLES81 - don't lose hope, you can do this. Hopefully this page will be support for you to keep with it.

Hey there, I am a 39 yo female who has gained 20 pounds in a year. My doc actually ordered a thyroid test today as that is a lot of weight in just a year. My weight this morning was 143, I would like to get down to 134 by the end of June but have been trying like crazy for the past five months! With two hiatuses. I am 5'5" with two kids. Currently I go to the gym at least 3 x a week and walk/ jog at least once a week. Sometimes I go to the gym twice in a day! I am fanatical lately! I count my calories too. So on a average day I consume 1200-1300 calories and burn an average of 500 calories per day doing cardio, but also adding in nautilus and/or weight bearing exercise. I also just started a Biggest Loser Facebook friends group. We are on our third week of six and I have lost only two pounds. I should mention that I don't count calories on weekends. While I still don't over eat, I do like to have some beers :-/. Still - I feel like I should be losing more weight than I am. And I don't drink at all during the week, just one cup of coffee and lots of water. On a weekly basis I enjoy zumba (twice) turbo kickboxing, Piyo, elliptical, nautilus, crunches. I also love yoga and hiking but wouldn't say I do those weekly. Aside from the beer and maybe a thyroid issue, I do not know what gives.

I need a challenge and accountability right now. I have put on about 18lbs since my wedding 4 years ago. No children to blame just my laziness and fondness for making baked goods. I just moved to new york about 5 months ago and affording a gym here is rough. so trying to this at home and in the park. wish I liked to run that would make life great.

Memorial day and swimsuit time crept up on me. So I am motivated to take at least 10 lbs in the next several weeks off of course I would prefer more but I am usually most comfortable when I get down aroudn 125 at 135 now. So I have been on a role for the last 3 days hoping to keep up the trend.

What workouts are everyone else doing.

Imperfect action is better then perfect inaction.

I really need this challenge as I am starting to lose hope. I look at my pictures from a year or two ago and I want to cry. I don't know how I let myself put these pounds on and I don't know how to get them off. My worst time of day for eating is at 5pm right after work. I bought a step and some step DVD's and I'm going to start doing them the second I get home from work instead of plopping down on my couch with a giant bowl of cereal. I am a 30 y/o, 5'7" female...please assure me that it IS possible to lose this weight!

I'd like to join this challenge. My goal is to lost about 15 pounds (maybe more after I reach that goal). Starting with a 5 pound goal sounds good to me! I'm currently at 165.0. I'm really disappointed that I've put on some weight recently. So, count me in!

Hi! I'd like to join this challenge. I gained 11 pounds since July 2011 due to two doses of prednisone. Ideally, I'd like to be 130 but my goal is 133. I struggle with binge eating. Five pounds by the end of June seems like a doable goal!

So far my weekend eating hasn't been out of control, I'm still holding at about 135.

Two years ago I was a little over 140 lbs and what helped me was keeping track of everything that I ate and then exercising 4-5 times a week. Unfortunately I gained a little bit of that weight back by not continuing to track my food calories.

I believe if your goal is to lose 20 lbs, you can do it!! How has your nutrition been so far this weekend, are you keeping it on track?

Should we try to be a least 5 lbs lighter by the end of June? If we reach that before, then we will set a new goal - but it's a start!

This is the first time that I have tried one of the SparkTeam Pages. I'm hoping that trying a challenge will keep me on track to losing 10-15 lbs. I do great during the week but I feel that I ruin it on the weekend by eating badly. Hopefully putting my weight out there to others will inspire me to keep at it!
