YES! So proud of myself and everyone else that took this journey with me! I really didn't think I was going to do so well. i am finally losing weight and I really think the tracking is the cause...Thanksgiving weekend and football parties throughout November and I lost 7 pounds? BRING ON DECEMBER!

Way to go everyone! We made it through November! Personally I did so much better than I ever thought I would. I personally love these challenges because it really makes me work harder!

December will be a tough month but hopefully I will do just as good. I am already craving baking so I am hoping to be good!

Dang food poisoning! I had deliberately taken Thursday off for tracking but then got food poisoning during the late afternoon of Friday...so barely ate let alone tracked and stayed within guidelines! Ah well, I know I would have if I could have...and that is alot more than I use dto be able to say! Still meeting 80% for the month!

I wish I would have takent he time to track yesterday in retrospect since I barely ended up eating anything in comparison to years in the past. I sat down to dinner and had a feew bites of each thing and didn't want any of it...it was like I have been eating so well for awhiel now that a bite or two was good but I didn't want the extra calories. I did indulge in pumpkin pie and several glasses of wine but all and all i did great. Even lost another .8 pounds this week...pretty good for weighing in the day after Thanskgiving!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE! WE ARE ON THE HOME STRETCH!

i exercised so hard yesterday and today, but of course i had to taste my deserts that i cooked today in advance, so i had 2 cranberry muffins, 2 pcs of cheesecake and 1 of pumpkin pie, ugh, i have to exercise twice as hard next week and longer, too.ugh. oh, well, Thanksgiving is only once a year...
portion control and small plates. that's the key... easier said than done. good luck , everybody!
the pilgrims were not fat because they ate on Thanksgiving.

I too am going to give myself a free day tomorrow, within reason (hopefully). It is hard not being the cooker and not being in charge but I will have small portions and enjoy myself!

I am doing well today also...tomorrow I am going to take a planned no tracking day and enjoy...I have earned a day free of tracking every single morsel...but I will still try to watch portions and not to the normal overindulgence I do this time of year.Then back to business Friday!

Yesterday was another hard one...worked late then met a friend for a movie...had to really thnk ahead of what to eat out for dinner and bought a snack at lunch tim in the cafeteria to eat right before the movie...ended up with a Veggie Patty sub on wheat with loads of veggies and a yogurt then snack of banana and almonds. I hav eto say ths is getting easier as I go...I am understanding what foods have what in them and can insert thngs as needed for protein, healthy fat, etc.

hi wision, thanks for writing, and yes, i did check your food journal, it looks like mine, i will just have to keep on going, my goal is 107 to 103 lbs. my wish is 99 lbs, since i am only 4'11" but that is almost impossible, i was that weight too many years ago, before kids and all...i am not going to give up, though...i did ran a half marathon in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on march 3,2009 it was so great, i am training now for a full marathon but the more you run, the hungrier you get. where are you planing on running a half marathon? good luck with that!write sometimes, if you want to. you know what? i am originally from bulgaria. are you living right now in denmark? that's a nice country i want to visit sometimes...

I am SOOOO proud of myself. Despite 8 hours of cleaning, moving boxes and furniture and unpacking I tracked all of my food and stayed within all ranges!!! If I can get through a day like that I can get through ANY day.

Reply to pollove2run: I have sent you an e-mail. But in short: I track in advance (tracking as you go is too difficult and time-consuming) and stick with the meals I have planned and do a lot of cardio exercise. Weekends have always been my problem, so having the motivation (thanks to sparkpeople) to stick with my meal plans during the weekends as well has really made a huge difference. If I am going out to eat and am not able to track in advance, I eat very small and healthy meals during the day and save a lot of calories for going out. This way, I might not end up getting the ratio between carbohydrates and protein etc. right for that day, but I stay within my calorie range.

Tracked everyday this week and was within calorie range. Some days the carbs or protein were not quite high enough. Lost 1.5. Getting tired of the time it takes to track but it's sure helping with the weight loss. Have a healthy, wonderful Thanksgiving week everyone!

Big rivalry footabll game here in Ohio yesterday so we had a party. I did go over my ranges but not by much...if I would have tracked it durign the day I would have been fine...drats! Oh well...still proud of myself for coming closse and not going hog wil when I knew I was probably over....I used to do the "oh well, I already screwed up!"...not anymore!

Thanksgiving is upon us ladies...be sure to focus and eat well this week so Thrusday you can splurge and not feel guilty about it.

IT IS ESSENTIALLY THE SAME AS THIS CHALLENGE SINCE IT SEEMED TO BE VERY ACTIVE AND HELPFUL TO MANY OF US...80% OF 31 DAYS HAPPENS TO ROUND TO 25 SO I THOUGHT IT WAS CUTE WITH 25 USUALLY BEING ASSOCIATED WITH CHRISTMAS. Weighed in this morning and only lost .4 pounds emoticon I guess with moving and not being able to cook for myself all teh time becaue of it I can't complain though. Plus my period started which may increase the scale a bit temporarily.

MOMONTHERUN - Don't give up on the challenge just because you are out of range too many days...just focus on tracking for the rest of the month. As you said, it helps keep you honest, and really helps you be more aware.

Ugh. I am having a horrible time with this honesty thing on the food tracking. Yesterday, over 2000 calories!! At least I went for a 45 minute walk. So, I am no longer on this challenge since I know that I have more than 6 days over my calorie range, but I am doing great in the work out challenge.

This week is going to be rough. I will be moving on Friday so every night will be spent finishing packing and cleaning. All dishs, pots, utensils, etc. have to be cleaned so cooking is pretty much out. Idid go to the grocery store and I think I am set for the week. Already have tomorrow's food planned. I CAN DO THIS!
