Well no wonder! You need to find a healthy plan and follow it. You need to ignore the Atkins food rules butting into your brain telling your lies about food. (I am very familiar with it and followed it for years.... loosing and then going on carb binges and gaining far more than i lost and then losing and gaining. It made me very ill in the long run and soooooo constipated. TMI?) Eating a whole food, plant based diet finally got me to a weight 10lbs UNDER my original goal weight, cured my IBS, and all of my stomach problems.
Find a good book with some great recipes or get the meal plans from HH like I recommended before and eat healthy or this will fail and you will be sick. This is NOT a fad diet or a fast weight loss plan. This is a change in lifestyle. If you think of this as a fast weight loss plan then you will fail here like any other diet will fail. Learn recipes that you like. Eat a sensible amount of food. Do not go hungry. exercise and you will lose weight. Loose a pound to 2 lbs a week. Take it slow for a permanent change to be healthy for the rest of your life.

I appreciate all the advice. I am pretty sure my problems are definitely lack of food, calories or the combo. My problem with eating more is I was on Adkins for almost a year and lost weight really well. Then I went off put most of it back on so when I decided I needed to diet again my kids were like you need a healthier diet. I agree with that but I still have that mind set to avoid bread and pasta things like that. That is why all I have been eating is fruit and veggies. If I didn't feel like I was literally starving yesterday I would not have given in to the half cup of rice.
All you had was veggies, fruits and rice? You are going to become malnourished with no beans or legumes and whole grains.. You don't seem to be eating enough. If you are just becoming vegan and do not know what to eat to be healthy you may want to think about getting a meal plan from Happy Herbivore ($5) a week. She will give you recipes. You won't have any leftovers and you will learn to cook new meals and they are already planned for a safe calorie range so you will be eating a big variety of foods. (many people say that they save money with the meal plans because they end up spending less money and not throwing food away because of spoilage.)
If this is a sudden change for you - it could cause all sorts of discomfort. Have you considered that your blood sugar levels are extremely LOW ? Have you checked to see if you could be pre diabetic or suffering from hypoglycemia?
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. Still feel almost dizzy today headache is pretty bad. Yesterday I had a blueberry, strawberry, spinach and almond milk smoothie. For lunch I had 11/2 cups stir fry veggies and 1/2 cup wild rice. Dinner was a sweet potatoe and a large apple I have been drinking at least 8 glasses of water.

It's hard to know if your new eating habits are causing you to become ill without knowing what you are eating. For example, if you at eating processed food that happens to be vegan and gluten free, the chemicals in these foods can indeed make you sick. If you previously ate a lot of processed food, and have switched to a clean whole foods diet (including cutting our caffein), you might experience headaches and stomach trouble. Can you give a little detail about what you have been eating so I can make some suggestions?
I wouldn't say normal. However the change is a big one so you'd expect some physiological effects and the way they manifest themselves is different between individuals. As your body becomes accustomed to the new diet I'm sure the migraine and other issues will settle down. all the best, Alan

I've been doing a very strict vegan diet and also gluten free. It has been 4 days and I'm about as sick as can be with a migraine and almost sick to my stomach. I was just wandering if this is normal when switch over to being vegan.
