Welcome, Lee! You have chosen a supportive team. That's funny you mention the fat pads on your feet going missing. When I lose weight, the first place I notice the fat going is the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet, and I've never had fat feet or hands!
I know that lots of time when we give advise, it is something people cannot do because of finances, or other medical problems, they've already tried it and it didn't work, or just because of a strong dislike of what we think is fantastic. That said, some things that come to mind that you might try to help your "bones" are gel pads in your shoes for walking, exercises in a pool and, as DESERTJULZ mentioned, the sitting workouts that SparkPeople has.
Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey. Remember, exercising without losing weight can bring peoples blood pressure and sugar levels down, as can losing weight without exercise. If they are both done TOGETHER.......
