First let me say I think that's a great idea! I wish someone would do that where I live. :)
I always like to have the basic information about the place: parking and hours of operation are the most important. I'm not sure if parking's an issue in Santa Fe, but in Atlanta it's a big deal. I want to know if there's free parking, parallel parking, or what. Also, a lot of time I have trouble finding out when places are open. Since not every place has a website, it would be nice to know when it opens/closes so that I wouldn't waste my time driving there just to find that I can't actually eat there.
Now for the actual food part: Price range is always helpful, as is portion size. I also like to know what the person blogging ate. It's nice to know what other people recommend. Also, pictures are always helpful. Nothing makes me want to go try a new place more than seeing a picture of delicious food. :)
If there are negatives to the place, those are always good to know. Was the overall experience positive? Long wait but food that was worth it? Food that was good but service that was so bad you'll never go back? Things like that.
Wow, I ramble a lot. Sorry! Just figured I'd share my two cents. :) Good luck with your blog!
I'm thinking of starting a food blog about restaurants in Northern New Mexico (Santa Fe, Taos, etc). Of course it would be vegetarian, vegan, and health food focused. I'm trying to think of a format so I wanted to ask the group:
