I was playing with the Recipe Calculator today and revising the oatmeal applesauce muffin that keeps popping up as a breakfast option on my menu.

The Recipe Calculator is the ONLY way I can figure out what I'm eating in terms of nutrition when I cook up more than a single serving like a batch of muffins, a casserole, or create any new recipe.

You can do that here. Go to Spark Recipes from the top bar Healthy Lifestyle or from your Nutrition page then Recipe Calculator. Simply follow the steps for itemizing your ingredients and it will give you a full nutritional breakdown. You can save the recipes and nutritional info by making yourself a cookbook.

Just noticed: The Quick Links will connect you to the Spark Recipes too.

emoticon for taking on the challenge of making your own recipes. It's fun!

Go to recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calcu
la
tor.asp
while logged in and then save the recipe at the bottom; check the box as to whether or not you want to share it (usually unchecked so it keeps it private afaik)

This is where you can track any nutrient under the sun: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/nutritio
n_
edit.asp
You can view it under your nutrition tab where you track the food you eat.

Ta da...........you can do that in the food tracker - by inserting your own recipes in it. Yep, i think the recipe section can do that for you... right here.

Hi folks,

I wrote on one of my veggie groups (may have even been here) asking how to breakdown a recipe I make into the number of calories, fat, etc. in it. I was asking if the recipe section here is where one can do that, or if you all know of a website where one can do that? (Having a senior moment--can't remember where I posted that question at and now can't find it! Ha!)

My new program will be going mostly by counting calories and fat, and since I'm making more of my own recipes, I'm finding it hard to count calories when I don't know how many are really in one of my homemade recipes!

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions you have to offer!
