New Chapter makes whole food vitamins that are very good and Garden of Life's Vitamin Code - Women, Men, 50 and Wiser Women and 50 and Wiser Men and all of the other ones they have in this line. These vitamins are raw and whole food based. They are very expensive, but what is your peace of mind worth is what I say. I'm taking the Women - 50 and wiser Vitamin Code version because I'm moving from being an Octo/Ovo Vegetarian to being a full Vegetarian - no meat, poultry, fish, eggs and milk products. I will still continue to eat bee byproducts - honey and bee pollen which has a lot of good nutrients in it (all of the Bs and protein.

Being vegetarian since Oct. 09, I want to take the multi-vitamin until I feel comfortable that I am getting enough in my diet. I don't think that I am there yet getting what I need, but I am working on it.

I eat a very healthy whole food vegan diet and feel no need to take a multi-vitamin. I do take B12 and vitamin D. I only take Vit D because I live in the north and get NO sun during the winter.

Why do you feel a need to take supplements?
