Does anyone have a fit bit or any opinions regarding this product. Thinking I want one for Mothers day, I have been reading reviews but I wondered if anyone on our team has one.

Don't forget to check out the quick fire challenge for this weekend!
It's a great way to get your fitness started or keep int revved up!
OMG! I just answered a sparkmail from one of the SP KC team members. She was concerned about not doing her part on the fitness minutes. She had surgery on her feet!
I'm happy to know that you all really do read some of the stuff I send you!! LOL
I was impressed by this members dedication to herself and the team. THANKS! You know who you are!
Good morning, Kansas City. I'm Lisa. I joined SparkPeople in February, but I'm just really getting started now & could really use some encouragement. I somehow have to be strong enough to be my entire family's motivation to be healthier too. So, I hope you don't mind if I lean on some of you a little for motivation.
Happiness is not getting what you want, but wanting what you have. Be happy with yourself.
PJ, hope things get better soon for you and your brother!
Yes, I enjoyed the weather. The Big Changes group went outside and flipped dump truck tires this afternoon. The ladies (I think) really liked it. I think it empowered them!!
I haven't been real good at checking in with this team. I have had a lot going on I am helping my widowed brother who has had cancer surgery. Pris I think of you often as he lives in KC KS and surgery/treatments are being done at KU so everytime I go by your center I think of you.
You all take care.

Akelim and DWALLYFAM have signed on as team leaders for KC!! Please welcome them!!
We are hoping to get the team rolling again! I really want to do another team challenge against Indep. This gives me a great reason to have a meet/greet workout.

Good Evening Everyone!!
I am lookking for certain group of people. They belong to the "Big Changes" group at SW Blvd Family Fitness Center. I need to send an invitation to you to join that team as it is set for private.
Please either send me a "sparkmail" by going to My Tracker, float over sparkmail and click on it. Type in "fitpris" and give me a shout! I don't know everyone's username. If you are comfortable letting me know in a more public forum, just respond to this post. Totally up to you, but I need to invite you either way to the team.
Enjoy our weekend!
Thanks!!! Pris SW Blvd Family Fitness Ctr Fitness Director
Congrats Pris on all the good things. You do a lot for others and all good deeds get rewarded. You know even a smile and a kind word or a please and thank you can change another person's whole day. We should all be kinder.
I am back in town for a while to be with my brother who just had cancer surgery at KU. But hopefully I will get back to Texas in March for a couple weeks.
Everyone have a fantastic day and SMILE

It was a rough start for me personally in 2012. Lots of illness in the whole month of January to be honest with you.
On Jan. 29th, I ran with my coworkers in the Groundhog Race. I did this for a couple of reasons. One, I wanted to give support to Melissa, who is new to running. Two, give support ot Rachel who is autistic and wanted to better her run and she did. And last, to run back to back races for myself.
Since then, tremendous things have happened. I've been doing lots of interviews on the news. Channel 41 did a huge one this week. I'm almost full up on my new program, Big Changers. Our new wood floor goes down in 2 weeks. The place is getting a total makeover in the aerobics room. A coworker passed her personal trainers cert., so she can do more now (yeah!!) I have received kudos from total strangers. I've had lots of support from co-Sparkers! And many more good things too numerous to list! LOL
I feel like when I give to others, good things happen. I wish we could all take the time to do good for others. It would be a much nicer place to live.
Sorry for the drawn out post. Just back from the gym where a man named Keith shook my hand and said "keep up the good work." It's all worth it
DH put in his retirement notice and we are moving away from KC at the end of March. We've been planning for years (and years) to live and travel in our RV once he retired. Well... it's time!
Our first destination is is to be in Texas for a month to visit friends and family. We'll be in the Hill Country some, and then in East Texas. But after April, our plans are wide open!

My Sparkpage is set up, but do let me know if anyone can't see it. I don't know if Sparkpeople changed the settings so that some pages are private or not.

Just a real quick hello. We have to finish all those last minute items and I need to get my oatmeal (a new year and intend to stick to my healthy plan). We will be pulling out about 7am. We drive about 9 hours the first day and 6 the second day. Remember we pull our 5th wheel and a bass boat behind that (the train as I call it).Heading to Texas for the winter.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year. .

I have gotten into a rut of either outside or doing Leslie. But I have other DVDs I need to get them back out and dust them off. The variety would do my body good.
We are having our family Christmas tomorrow and another Christmas luncheon today. We will be leaving for Texas Jan 1. Yea
Is anyone else doing the BLC starting in January? I signed up this time.
Enjoy your day

It takes a while to get used to Jillian, but I modify like crazy. As long as I keep moving, it's okay.

Oh no! I have to admit in PUBLIC that I can't finish a Jillian Michaels exercise dvd?! LOL
But that's what a good trainer does: Push you beyond your "normal" limits so our bodies will make changes. (All within reason for each of our individual circumstance, of course.)
Hmm.... I probably should put her back into my exercise rotation! Thanks for the reminder Elenita10.

I finally have a thermal wicking shirt to wear if it's chilly and I want to walk outside, but I really can't do extreme weather exercise. I start coughing and it feels like my lungs are freezing and that's no fun. So....I run through my TV workouts: Walking Away the Pounds, Zumba, Cardio Dance, Jillian Michaels. I also use the treadmill, stationary bike and water aerobics.

I, too, have been using Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds. Hope to get to the community center to use their indoor track, tho' it does get boring as you have to walk around it 12 times to get in a mile. Sometimes I hit Walmart and walk up & down the aisles. I am not an outside cold weather person!

How is everyone doing exercising in these cooler days? Are you bundling up and still getting outside?
I've been choping wood for a bit in the evenings after work, it's getting dark earlier. Dark when I go to work and before I get home now. I've been thinking about going up to the school to walk on the lighted track still...
